  1. well fuck them too. i pay my dues and follow all the rules. if they don't like who frequents the range then they don't have to go. more ports for me.
  2. what do you mean, "not worth the difference"? i personally am never going to shell out for NVGs and the H-1 seems better in every other way. so why spend the extra $100 on something i will never use. i dont know what toadette plans to do with the rifle, but in all reality they will probably never use NVGs either. if they want to spend the extra money for the "cool factor" thats fine. just though i would point out that the better option for a civilian with no NVGs is the H-1.
  3. unless you plan to night vision get the h-1 and save yourself some money. they are exactly the same except the h-1 have more brightness options because it doesnt need to have the nightvision options. i got mine from larue with their QD mount for $600 shipped to my door. plus they give you a bunch of stickers, a dillo bottle opener and some of their dillo dust seasoning which is the tits
  4. they run a NICS check on all their CCW holders every month.
  5. why not just buy a railed 1911? this seems like a poor solution to a problem that doesn't exist. if you want a laser get crimson trace grips. light? use a handheld one
  6. nice. set triggers too. i need to get out and shoot my muzzle loader more. maybe when spring gets here. i find that the cold weather adversely affects my fingertip dexterity making it a pain in the ass to load for a day of shooting...
  7. why you no like billet? i more or less wanted to post to show how close the colors were between magpul and bcm. i've heard that people have problems trying to mix and match different makers stocks, hand guards, and grips. i was pleasantly surprised that they are pretty much identical.
  8. Just completed my MidwestPX lower last week. Figured I'd share. MidwestPX billet lower MidwestPX lpk Geisselle S3G trigger Rainer arms tube, spring and h buffer Magpul fixed carbine stock in foliage green BCM Mod 2 grip in foliage green The two manufacturers greens match pretty damn good
  9. if i didnt have to use 4 vacation days this year already i would be there. i have called sweeneys office and emailed as well as my own reps. fight the good fight guys
  10. i didnt really like them either. but their prices on guns are usually good. everything else is hit or miss. once you get them talking a little bit they arent so bad. they are kinda stand-offish tho...
  11. Anyone else goin? I just got tickets and pit passes. April can't come fast enough.

the only fix is to refinish the gun. if it was blued i would say just hit it with a blueing pen but thats not an option here. give her some more scratches and call her your own.
  13. i would hope that if such trials happened WE THE PEOPLE would stand up for OUR rights. i know i am NEVER going to willingly turn in anything. come and take them from my cold dead hands.
  14. the S&W aren't 1911s, they have external extractors. i personally think that ruins the gun. a lot of these new "custom" 1911s ruin the whole principle of what JMB did when he invented it. it is a SERVICE PISTOL. it is meant to have slop and play in the fit. nothing that will cause the gun to come apart but enough that a little dirt and grime will not cause a stoppage. super tight fit of all the custom guns is what caused the 1911s reputation to go down hill. leave it alone and take it for what it is. this is humorous but in the end so true. http://www.frfrogspad.com/jmb.htm

post pic. it depends on how bad they are...
  16. really just interested in the specs and price. not looking to buy plus i probably don't have the coin for one.
  17. from what i understand .223 wylde chamber/headspace is a bit tighter than 5.56 offering better accuracy. you can still chamber and fire 5.56 and .223 rem without issue though. if i wanted a competition gun i would probably go with that. i could be completely wrong here too. im going off my memory from over a year ago when i was researching for my first build. i didnt really see the point of it then for what i wanted to do, so i kinda forgot all about it.
  18. condition 2 with a DA/SA. full mag, one in chamber, hammer down. only safe to do with a wheel gun or something with a decocker.
  19. That guy did nothing wrong in my opinion. He was out riding on a narrow trail. He came across a territorial animal and couldn't turn around. He tried multiple times to scare it off including firing a shot above the animal before he shot the animal. When stuff like that happens you dont have time to think. If this guy wasn't armed he would probably be dead. My only gripe is that he is carrying in condition 3 instead of condition 2 (round in chamber).
  20. I don't know if it would be legal for him to claim it. Its stupid but I know fish and game laws are like sometimes. But a dead animal in the wild never goes to waste. Something will eat it...
  21. Twist rate has nothing to do with distance you will be shooting. If he plans on shooting 55 grain ammo then 1:9 is best. 62+ grain ammo 1:7 is better. A mixed bag than 1:8. Mil-spec is 1:7 twist. Just buy from a reputible source and youll be fine. And don't be too cheap. We all want a good deal but the barrel is the heart and soul of the rifle. It's really up to you and how light you want the gun to be.
  22. yea ive been ordering stuff from amazon recently and noticed that some of their stuff is packed retardedly... its ok tho because my mom uses the boxes to ship stuff her husband makes and sells on etsy.
  23. I need to trim mine. My takedown pin is a pain to open and close.
