  1. PSA also has a complete mil spec MOE stock kit for $69. I got this, an Aimpoint PRO and flip up sights and the shipping was 7 bucks.
  2. I just did a transfer at FSS in Whippany NJ right off of Rt 10, $50 transfer fee including NICS. Smooth transaction. https://firearmssupportandstorage.com/
  3. Its simple capitalism and that's how it works.. if you paid the rediculous prices they had then there is no one to blame but yourself. This was a good deal compared to the current market so why not take advantage of it if you need ammo? It was a good 7 cents a round cheaper than anyone else had it.
  4. I needed flip up sights also so I went with the PSA deal.. 409 for the aim point pro +their metal flip up sights. I also ordered a MOE mil spec stock kit (buffer tube spring ect..) shipping was $7.00
  5. You would be better off with using Tapco. Pro mags have a bad reputation.
  6. HIgh Exposure. Check out this video.. It's very clear and this is the reference that I used in doing the pistol grip conversion. The only thing I would NOT do is thread the bullet guide the way he did. Other than that it's good to go. Oh and one suggestion..use a cobalt drill bit.
  7. I assume I want the mill-spec version? Who's got these in stock at a good price. Also in buying a buffer tube set up is there anything other than making sure it matches the stock, mill-spec vs. commercial? Thanks.
  8. I am relatively new to firearms and my Saiga is my first rifle. I went back and fourth between the 7.62 and 5.45. I went for the 7.62 for a couple of reasons.. At the time there were no (decently priced) 5.45s available. Also because of where we live and the magazine situation, I ended up getting the 7.62x39. You can buy saiga specific SGM mags which hold 15 rounds with no modifications. SGM does not offer them in 5.45 caliber. I like to do projects so I did the full conversion. This is what I ended up with:
  9. Ok cool thanks,I think I am going to run with this. I was debating the eotech xps2.. but I think the aimpoint might be the smarter choice..cheaper too.
  10. I am completing a build and I was wondering if this would work.. This is about as much ss I have left in the budget. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/sights-optics/optics-specials/aimpoint-patrol-rifle-optic-pro-andpsa-aluminum-flip-up-front-and-rear-sight-set.html
  11. This optic seems to come with a mount. Will it work OK for a flat top AR and be able to co-witness?
  12. I was looking at this.. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/m4-premium-16-cmv-chrome-lined-stripped-upper-without-bcg-or-charging-handle.html That is 349 Charging handle: 50 Bcg:125 Dynacomp brake: 90 Compliance work:50ish Shipping say 20 It's almost a wash..
  13. Why PSA vs. spikes? This one is 14.5 lw barrel free float with a good break already pinned and welded. I was about to order the psa until I saw this. PSA was 16 inch and had to be made compliant. I am confused...so many options
  14. My take away from this video was that if you want to shoot distance indoors, in a dust free climate, and like to clean your rifle ALOT...the AR is for you. If you want a battle rifle that will fire every time, regardless of the conditions, grab an AK!
  15. From what I have read online some of the older models were threaded..not sure about thw new ones.
