  1. I wouldn't let him know that you may be armed at all. That's a prime target for thieves. I would also get a gam cam and paint it to match the best possible place to view your car and entrance if possible. Make sure doors and windows are always locked and definitely file a complaint with the condo board to let them know your concern. Now, how would you feel about lending me 10,000 dollars? I have a mouth full of teeth I can use as collateral.
  2. I can picture the majority of coward conspirators being 90% of our politicians. Take over Washington and that's all you need. They will legislate us into submission. Like the mayor in RD, just saving his own skin.
  3. Planning my donations to Christie for gov and pres!
  4. Where are you located? I have the glock sight tools, if nearby Bergen you can come by or meet me at bullet hole to adjust.
  5. I wish I ordered more, I got both of my deliveries this week.
  6. I love mine, the only issues I ever had was with a newbie that never handled a firearm of any kind. He had stovepipes and double feeds because of serious limp wristing. I have NEVER experienced ANY issue with my g19, other than those. He almost sheared off his thumb, he knew better than me an wanted to be "comfortable with his grip".
  7. You may be able to skip the 40 initial question as they are the same, ask the instructor. If so, you can take just the 20 bow questions and the practical. Make sure she practices and knows her sights (scope) well. Bring her shotgun cars with you and make sure to ask the instructor.
  8. Got my second shipping notice today! Woo Hoo! Now I have ammo, just no time to shoot!
  9. Something bit me last night and I suddenly had a craving for lo mein. This explains a lot.
  10. Does it work? As long as it puts meat in the freezer...
  11. Ha! I checked my order status on the site and I have one box that shipped and one being processed. My back order date was 7/30!
  12. If you really want to hunt, and extend your hunting season, add the bowhunter's course. You get a full month and a half head start in the season with bear an whitetail, nearly two months for elk, antelope and mule deer out west and the seasons are extended. Hit YouTube and watch some videos on identifying runs, scrapes, trails, etc... Also look into state land in either upstate ny or in pa. We are starting to check our food plots now. Scope for some early rubs and set our cameras. Our blinds and treestands go up in about 3 weeks. You can learn to field dress, quarter and debone and even butcher your harvest from YouTube. Tags can get costly, you have muzzle, bow and shotgun, small game, bird, bear, etc... Pick one or two for the area that you have scoped out and have set your mind on. Last thing, when you are scoping out your location(s) look for signs of other hunters. Orange tape, intentionally overturned rocks, trail cams, etc... This will help you make a decision to NOT pick an area that may be crowded.
  13. Not a bad idea! Regional meetings based on county would work out well. We could even apply for 501cN exempt status.
  14. ^^^^^^^^what he said!^^^^^^^^ I haven't bought or traded a car without this for years! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  15. So this is volumes of logic on the ammo shortage. If you check gunbot, ammoseek or any other availability tracking site you will see that there is plenty of product available, just at seriously inflated prices. It is a quick video, have a look. I mean, it makes sense. I'm not talking about not buying in bulk when affordable, we have some preppers and people that plan ahead, but buying now. I understand capitalism, but the flip side of supply and demand is the willing to purchase. Take away the demand for one month and prices will regulate.
  16. "that's taxpayer dollars"... Isn't that private citizen's property that you scammed? Sheeple.
  17. Sadly, I agree. Only one of my nephews over the age of 18 has any personal responsibility, the rest just try to act "tough" and fail miserably at being men. It is even present in the way they speak to their mothers and sisters, like they are trash. Fortunately, I have a shred of hope as all of the young men that I have met through the forums, at the range, etc, are good men and make an effort to be self sufficient and responsible gentlemen. I'm not above paying for skill based service. I know how to use a hammer and fix most things, but there are three reasons that I will call in an expert. 1. Time 2. Expertise 3. Supporting a local small business. There is a benefit to knowing your limitations and supporting your neighbors.
  18. Cabelas had shelves full of pmc .223 55gn. Plenty of .17, some 9mm, plenty of bulk 308 and some Winchester 5.56. The Winchester was pricy (11.99), the pmc was post election/per newtown (8.99), but you are limited to 5 boxes per caliber. There seemed to be a bunch of .380 defensive ammo too. I look on gunbot.net an see that there is stock for what used to be common ammo, but it is at ridiculous prices. I think that once things settle to the new norm (I saw 10 to 15% higher, I think more like 25%), these newcomers on gunbot and the price gougers like ctd will be forced to drop down to these prices. I, fortunately, hoarded before newtown, but would like to send more ammo downrange than I am today. I shoot regularly, but not as much as I did in the past. My accuracy has improved though, because I am looking to enjoy my time, so that's a plus.
  19. If you look on gunbot.net you can see that any vendor with normal or slightly above normal pricing sells out quickly. All others seem to have product in stock, just not moving. When cabelas and bass pro and the like start to make common ammo more readily available all off the over priced stock will drop. I am guessing by mid to late summer. Lake city is about to start their seasonal run of 556 and 223 24/7 and the big chains are first in line as their orders are already in. As for .22lr, who knows? Cci manufactures 1000000 rounds per day. Where is that going?
  20. you are still better off piecing together your own AR, unless you are into the exotinc like a LaRue or LWRC. Even Still, You can get the uppers and Piece together your own lower (or buy a complete lower), lpk, stock, etc... and come in less than the full platform. My suggestion is to build your own lower (at least- if you need an ffl it is listed as "other component" instead of rifle or handgun) or buy a completed lower privately. uppers are easy enough to come by and parts are becoming more readily available.
  21. I shot my buddies m&p 22 last week. I am submitting apps for more p2ps just for this gun, love it!
