  1. My understanding of that chart is “you’re at 24.9” next box says pin and weld. As long as the muzzle brake is 1.5” or so I should be ok, no?
  2. Just wondering if you guys can check my plan. I was thinking of getting this upper (10.5"), pinning a muzzle device, and installing a VFG https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-threaded-10pt5in-556-atlas-sone This lower and adding an SBA3 https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-carbine-complete-lower-a2-grip-fde Then of course BCG, charging handle, sights, 10rd mag. Is this GTG? Does it seem like a good setup? Any recommendations where to buy? Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks for the feedback. The Hi-Point is out because my wife hates loading the mags (too sharp). I've been considering the Sub-2000 as well, and should've put that in my original post. If one was available in NJ, and at a reasonable price, I'd buy it. At lunch I went to Ramsey Outdoor to see if they had anything, and they said Beretta is halting production and coming out with a V2. Anyone else hear about this? What's up with NICS? For the 20+ checks I've had, I can only remember once where I had to go back next day, and it was entered after 6PM. Is this common now? How does the PS90 handle in comparison? I rented it once at GFH, but it just had the odd backup sights and is apparently meant for a red dot. I ended up shooting my FiveseveN better, as did my friend, but I attribute it to the sight issue.
  4. Thanks for the updates guys. A while ago I saw one at Ramsey Outdoor but I think they wanted over $1k. At that price, I'd get the FN. I already have a FiveseveN anyway. I'd appreciate if anyone sees one for sale locally, preferably new. Also considering a Sub 2000.
  5. Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has these around. I went shooting with a friend in TX and wife loved the AR pistol. She said she hates both of mine because they're too heavy. This had me thinking about what short and light options we have in NJ. The Beretta is compact and lightweight, as well as being inexpensive and I'm not finding them f/s online. Then there's the PS90. I can build a lightweight AR, but that doesn't address the reduced length. Not interested in the Hi Points. Any other ideas?
  6. Thanks for the reply. When I take the slide off, the rails don't show any movement. I am just perplexed on how it went from a standard slide/frame fit to noticeably loose after 2 boxes of ammo. Not knowing anything about Glocks, if it was initially that loose, I would have thought it normal. The degradation of fitment happened really fast. I guess there's only one way to tell if it's gonna get looser.
  7. Greetings. I posted this on a Glock forum but figured I would get opinions here too. Recently got a Glock 20 Gen 4 and before I brought it to the range, I decided I would purchase a G19 as well. I spent a good amount of time looking over and dry firing both before I had time to test them out. They both had a slide to frame fit comparable to my other dozen pistols, and were near identical to each other. Last week I brought them both to the range, and put around 250 rds through the 19 and 100 rds through the 20. When I looked them over it home, I noticed the 20 become pretty loose. The rear of the slide clicks back and forth when I put lateral pressure on it, and it rattles around now (not the firing pin rattle) quite a bit, be it cocked or not, with or without magazine, and with or without a snap cap in the chamber. For polymer pistols, I have an HK P30, USP 45T, Walther PPS, & a FiveseveN. None of these are as close to being as loose, regardless of the amount of rds through them. I read a few posts about Gen 4 21s being loose, but what sets my case apart is that before I fired it, it was pretty tight. Now it rattles like a can of krylo n, while the 19 seems just as before. My 1911s and SIGs loosened a little after a lot of rounds, but this is a night and day difference. Does this seem normal? Thanks in advance for your input.
  8. I prefer the OD over FDE. To each their own . . .
  9. Thanks. I think they now have 1 left if anyone's looking. Glad I went there- ran into my friend Jim from Bullethole working behind the counter.
  10. I got one from RTSP. Thanks
  11. Thanks Seamus. If I have time I'll try there. Will be tough to make it there this week during NICS hours though . . .
  12. Just curious if anyone has seen one of these floating around. A bit less fugly than the current gen. As you can see, my permits came in
  13. Anyone see any in stock close to Bergen County? I have to make my purchase this week to keep my other permits from expiring. Thanks.
  14. I have a '11 P220 elite stainless with a SIG tuned trigger. It's buttery smooth. Shoot me a PM if you'd like to try it. I tried a P229 in DAK and didn't really care for the trigger. If you are against the DA/SA, maybe look into the SAO versions.
  15. I think you can just deposit the money order back into your acct.
  16. So you're telling me you wouldn't feel the least bit nervous bringing your children seeing these 2 morons brandishing their rifles in front of a camera in a Chipotle while you're trying to eat? Well you must be a brave man . . Negligent discharges happen daily, and these guys seem to be tempting fate.
  17. Seriously I have ZERO qualms over Chipotle banning open carry after that. I would not feel comfortable eating there with them, having to be in constant worry as to where the muzzles are facing.
  18. Applied for (3) P2P today, 5/16 in Mahwah. I was told it would take at least 2 months, and likely 3.
  19. Just curious- how does a tritium filled sight just die? It worked when purchased, but not at home? I don't think these things just fail catastrophically. They fade slowly over time. SIG customer service is top notch.
  20. USP .45 feels like Excalibur in my hands. I've fired the Beretta and it just didn't do much for me.
  21. I'm looking for a Glock G19 or G23 in Gen 4 FDE trim. Are these hard to come by?
  22. A word of advice- make sure the blocks are the correct size before pinning. I pinned mags for my FiveseveN and it would only hold 14 rds. I had to file them down quite a bit. Otherwise, very easy to do.
