  1. Yes you came upon the Delaware State Trap Championship this weekend. If you thought it was crowded this weekend then check it out next weekend. They will be holding the NJ State Championship. You will find Trap to be A tightly disciplined clay game. The key to Trap is A high shooting gun, Most shoot at least A 70//30 high gun some even more. Its A game of repetition and practice, practice, practice, We shoot it on Friday nights at Quinton. 50 bird games from the 16 yd line and 10 bird from the 27 yard line. Oh and if your shooting an auto loader, do yourself A favor and install A shell catcher or have A deflector installed. Easy way to upset the guy next to you with his 25K gun is to chuck your empties his way.
  2. Unfortunately the denial for misinformation is going to be tough, Even with an Attorney. Especially as it seems that the issue they denied you on was so close to the time you applied. That's gonna be hard on you. As many said above find A Lawyer. In NJ you get to fight it, But you are A sitting duck on your own. Like Mipa said if this happened in PA you wouldn't be asking this question, You would be denied no questions asked.
  3. Absolutely on John. His Transfer fees are better that any others around that I have seen, In case you ever need A FFL for that.
  4. Well the budget looks as if it is A done deal. Evidently no sponsors or co-sponsors saw the need to use pro gun rights as A bargaining chip for their vote on approving the budget. That alone will allow bills to die in commitees. There are too many other things being pushed by the administration, that will leave 2A bills on the back burner, Evidently the NRA is no stronger now then the past in DC. Just my thoughts.
  5. Went by there yesterday at 9 am and is looked pretty busy by the amount of vehicles in the parking areas. I stop in when camping at Sea Pirate over on rt 9. But being down here in SJ allows for better buys, and I prefer not to shoot indoors. Do like browsing there though. Sure is different than when they were in the Hardware store over on rt 9, in West Creek
  6. Is it A 15 rd mag with 1 in the chamber for 16 rds? If so there is no issue.
  7. The ACE Hardware store at Lincoln and Dante in Vineland has A pretty big assortment in stockat most times.
  8. While I agree our laws suck. Everything this guy did was wrong in so many ways. His active duty status, after reading his own words should be A mute point. Sorry but I speak that as A Vet myself from A long time ago.
  9. Just A thought. But Camping season is in full swing. Most owners are rolling with them or preparing to do so. Plus Spring break and vacation time is coming. If your considering renting A unit at A dealership, Time is running short for that too.
  10. Well you don't want to be afraid of the competition, But your worst enemy can be yourself. You have the right idea to practice some and gain experience. Like I said, I live 5 Mins from Cedar Creek, If you get to where you want some shooting time let me know. Being retired I shoot whenever. feel free to shoot A PM if you want to shoot some.
  11. That right there is your absolute most full opinion and thought to the to the bank, And consider. Just about exactly what I would have suggested if I didnt read thru all the posts, Wise words above.
  12. Just looks at the results on I-Clays. Joe pulled in A big crowd for todays Tournament, Good for him. You jumped right into the fire (Kudos for that) 18 shooters in E class is heavy for that class. All new members to NSCA start there, Unless they declare up to known ability. With A 74 winning the woods. You shot against some shooters that shouldnt be in E class next shoot. Put some lead on some targets and get ready for May 7. You'll be ok.
  13. Dont let it worry ya. You are just getting started. dont know what your work schedule is but we shoot pretty often on Wednesdays at Joes. we are spending the rest of our Sundays at Redwing as Roger will be closeing the course for Camping season soon. Plus the bugs will eat you alive like at M&M. What did you wind up with for A score?
  14. I was going to shoot Joes Tourny this weekend, But my Grandsons Boy Scout Troop has A Ham and Oyster dinner Sunday. So it will be wobble trap at good sports then down to the club with the Scouts at Noon. There is another Tournament on May 7. If you catch the fever this Sunday I will shoot with you for that one. Let me know I live 5 Minutes from Cedar Creek. Joe will hook you up with A squad for this Sunday if you want
  15. Retired, I don't gotz to do anything but I want to do.
  16. Send Louu on here A message he may be able to help you. I shoot all the Clay Games there weekly but not A Member. My involvement with another Club in South Jersey keeps me busy with it as far as the everyday responsibilities I give to it.
  17. Legislature is voting this afternoon on their new bill to kill this. Plus another tomorrow. Maybe someone more computer savey then me can post the E-Mail that came this morning from ANJRPC
  18. Christy started this when he was A primary candidate. Now he is worse than A lame duck, just biding time till they take his key to mansion. Now he has another opportunity to go to Washington, There are 46 positons opening in the DOJ and he knows he can surely fill 3 of them. He knows the Dems will find A way before April 3 to stop this. Just smoke. But hey miracles may still happen.
  19. Probably your best chance for A reliable answer is to go to the Sheriffs office in the county that you have the house in. The answer you get from them will the answer you can go by. Or just apply for A NH Non Res permit, and be done with it. For now.
  20. Feel good move on his part to say , well I'm pro 2A when he tries for A spot in the Pence administration. Ponder that thought for A bit.
  21. Sorry but I have to ask, Why? Now if you were talking about securing A firearm in A place like an amusement park that would be different. Then I would suggest A Crytec positive lock holster.
  22. Plus $200.00 1 time capital improvement fee. Clays is $30.00 per 100 for non members, and $5.00 for skeet, trap or 5stand. Members $4.00 not sure about Clays
  23. Cedar Creek is open Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun. This Sunday is the first registered tournament of the year, Just an FYI
  24. Anthony at M&M is A top notch champion shooter. Joe at Cedar Creek Is A top notch shooter and one of the best NSCA target setters Those abilities make both Cedar Creek & M&M really good places to shoot. Myself I prefer Cedar Creek above the 2. But being 5 mins from there helps with the decision. Shoot them both and decide. Damn theres 6 clay courses within 3 hour max drive from me and I shoot them all.
  25. You will hear Sporting clays is golf with A gun. Well its not. Most courses, Including Cedar Creek you can shoot by yourselve. Joe or Gary will set the thrower module to throw on A 3 second delay for you. That is plenty of time to push the button and be ready for the clays. Joe can certainly teach you, But I would suggest you get some shooting in on your own before spending for lessons. There is no pace for you to follow. The woods course has 13 stations in A loop that starts and ends at the clubhouse. It is very seldom jammed to where you wait or hold someone up. theres A good chance from now till mid April that I could meet you and shoot if you wanted on A Sat or Wed. Even Fridays, right now we pretty much dedicate Sundays to Redwing as Roger closes in May till Sept. Let me know if you are interested. This Wed I'm in DE for VA appointments.
