  1. Can't wait to do this again I had a blast last year and this year the wife is also going to participate.
  2. I shot the VP9 and ergonomically it's the bomb. Feels like part of your hand. The trigger was for me just meh, but I am a fan of hammer fired pistols and have only fired one striker fired pistol that I liked. Glock 34 with an Apex trigger. I have also tried H&K's S&W M&P's and other Glocks. Fine choices all but just not for me. I like a DA/SA pistol and my revolver in DA. Like Griz says master the DA revolver and every thing else is easy.
  3. The problem is if your pistol license is revoked you no longer have the right to posses a pistol even in your home so you would have to hire a lawyer to keep them or sell them off or move them out of state.
  4. No coupon needed. Had to show them the email which does not have a coupon. The enemy of my friend who has .22 in stock is my friend.
  5. It was a good show. Luckily no negligent discharge but did see a vendor clear a pistol to show a customer and a live round popped out. Parking was a pain and had trouble getting out because cars were blocking the road. What is with the private toll road?
  6. Check this site out for lots of info: http://nyfirearms.com/forums/ I've read that Suffolk is one of the worst counties in the state. I got mine in Fulton Co. in 60 days from start to finish.
  7. Going to head out to this on Saturday and visit relatives in the area. Anyone ever go to this show? Is it any good? 700 tables so there should at least be plenty to look at.
  8. Too bad this didn't come together. Hopefully next time.
  9. Goose Island Bourbon Barrel Stout at Morris Tap and Grill. If you are close make a stop this stuff is rare and spectacular.
  10. I've got a plus 1 coming Not a forum member but may be after tonight. Hopefully someone that is coming has a thrower and a hunting license. NJSigfan what about the bday plans?
  11. I'll be there with a box of clays, ammo, and a new O/U.
  12. I find it hysterical that they have moderator. I am of the assumption that a moderator is needed when there are opposing view points. What are they going to debate? 1 round or 2?
  13. Agreed. While I opted for the latest date I would show up on any Saturday as I've got cabin fever and a new O/U to try out.
  14. I like the 28th. More time for the snow to melt and I hate the cold.
  15. My sister in-law owns a house in Gouldsboro. Nice small town with a gun shop. Not to far south of Scranton (1/2 hour) just off 380.
  16. Agreed I used to work the 11 PM to 7 AM shift and would hit the Cliff Tavern in Clifton before going home. The wife would always say how can you drink in the morning but I would tell her it's not morning to me. Still I'm glad I don't work that shift anymore.
  17. The owner of my local liquor store knows of my fondness of bourbon and gave me a sample bottle of Widow Jane bourbon. It's from NY and is very good. Smooth with hints of vanilla and oak. Supposedly aged 7 years. I recommend you give it a try when you see it.
  18. Don't you love the Adirondacks? Oh wait Howard is from Randolph.
  19. Does anyone remember back in the early 80's when Congress wanted to institute a nationwide drinking age of 21? Some states did not want to comply but were forced to do so as any state that did not raise the age to 21 would not get federal highway funds. Not that this will pass but I wonder what federal funds could be held back to make all states comply?
  20. The earth is approximately 3.9 billion years old. Just sayin.
  21. It should be marked down to half what you paid then. It's not a scratch I'm talking about, it's a dent with a hole that i'm sure compromises the fire proof rating.
