To be able to walk, make sure that if they take your licence to make a copy, you get it back promptly. Maybe I'm just being a pedantic moron, but the bill as it stands talks about registering guns for which magazines cannot be modified to hold less rounds. Does that mean a 9mm mag modified to hold .380? A 10mm mag modified to hold .40?...or maybe oval bullets, rather than round ones? I think they mean fewer rounds, but that's not what it says. ETA: Oops - that's just the committee report - not the bill

It's very common during a traffic stop for the officer to ask where you're going or where you've come from. If I have guns in the vehicle I make sure I'm honest, but not overly detailed unless he inquires further. E.g. if I'm on the way to SCFGPA I'll tell him I'm heading for Bridgewater, not a shooting range. I'm still being honest but not triggering any spidey senses.

I shot a Steyr exactly once. I tried it for a whole IDPA match and just couldn't get on with the weird triangular sights. I would suggest try a nice classic like a Browning Hi-Power or if you want something a little different, but also a bit classic, a 2011 in 9mm or .40.

I have no axe to grind with AVB-AMG or anybody else. I am merely an observer and want to make an observation. The pro-gun rights side vs the gun prohibition side is constantly being badgered to "compromise" and to "find middle ground". This cannot be achieved because the gun prohibition side of the argument is dishonest. They claim to be compromising but never give up anything. They just move their goal posts to a lesser ban for the duration of any negotiation - e.g. "just give up 15 round magazines and make the limit 5 but we will compromise at 10". The only compromise they are really making is that they won't demand total disarmament of everybody just yet. It is an incremental approach that needs to stop. The goal is a ban on everything. The "nobody is trying to take your guns" is a lie. Not one more inch. I'm done. I had all my pistols confiscated in England in 1997 to allow the politicians to say they did something after Dunblane and before the inquiry was completed. They will never admit they did something completely ineffective and they will never admit how much they spent from the public purse compensating law abiding people for stealing their property. When one side argues from a position of lies, there is no way to negotiate.

The standard mag for a G43 is 6 rounds. A +3 extension is not going to make it illegal in NJ because 9 is less than 15. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

There are pretty quick once they ask you to send it in. I handed mine to FedEx on December 15. Sig received it on December 18. They gave it back to FedEx on December 22 and FedEx tried to deliver it to me on December 23. I was not at home and a signature was required so I finally got it back on December 26. Send it to Cylinder and Slide. They did an awesome job on mine and it was worth the wait. If you can live with just the cuts for the sights you can send just the slide and they'll turn it around quicker and you'll save on shipping. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
