  1. I do not have any large primers. It seems to me, the spring/chute should only allow one primer to reach the seating area at a time. Otherwise, the following primer would get damaged by the outer area of the case being primed (which has already happened). I'm thinking the movement of the base where the case sits is somehow responsible for releasing the next primer from the chute. I'm just having trouble figuring out how it should look. Based on how I interpret the CAD image Lee sent me, I think the chute is deformed. Until I get can an actual picture of a good one though, I'm just guessing. The pictures in the Lee manual are not large enough or zoomed in enough for me to confidently say. If I was still in the return window I'd be sending this thing back for a refund. Sadly, I waited to long to set it up and I'm well passed that window.
  2. It's the quick-release style from the bottom and spring loaded. The outer part drops down, the seating pin stays where it is, so the case is pushed down onto the primer rather than the primer getting pushed up. I think it that pic, two primers had overlapped and kept the outer part from coming back up. Pic below shows when it is back up. No response from Lee Support today.
  3. Yeah, I don't think this chute snaps together. Changing the position of the chute and/or spring will change how many primers move forward. The initial picture above is where the spring and chute seem to want to go. Picture below is another feed failure.
  4. Yes, that is some oil left from the factory that I did not wipe off. The chute itself appears clean/dry, I did not take it off/apart to fully clean. This is new, so it has never really run. To me, it seems the opening at the bottom where the primers come out is not correct. That's why I was hoping to get an actual photo of how one functioning correctly looks. I've not been able to locate one. The pictures in the Lee manual are not large enough or zoomed in enough for me to discern. Changing the chute or spring position results in either zero primers or too many coming out. I believe it has to be positioned just right, I'm just can't determine what just right is. I'm hoping Lee can respond with an actual photo, or someone here has it and can provide. Thanks
  5. Anyone have one that is working properly? I'm having issues getting the primers to feed correctly. I've already contacted Lee Support, they pointed out one issue which I've resolved. But I'm still having problems with the primer reaching the seater (or whatever they call it). I've asked for pictures of how it should look, so far they only sent me a CAD image, which is not the same. I'm attaching a picture of what I'm questioning. I've repositioned the spring and chute multiple times, this is where it always wants to go back to.
  6. It seems I need to login to the 1A area more frequently than previously. Was this a change? Any chance that the 1A access can be assigned to an individual user as well to avoid the need of logging in all the time?
  7. Another tip, take a lot of pictures from different angles during the process. For reference during reassembly.
  8. Some Walmarts will carry them. Shooter's in LEH carries them, as does Cheyenne in Bordentown, but it looks like they're a distance from you. Likewise Pineland in Jackson & Salomon in Farmingdale.
  9. I'm pretty sure I've always had to pay before the dealer ran the NICS. I know the last several purchases when NICS has taken over an hour to several days have been that way. Can't recall exactly back when NICS was under a 15min turnaround.
  10. CJR&PC me and my two friends are members.
  11. Hit the Range to bust some clays. Wife, niece, nephew, friend, his two kids, co-worker, his nephew and the guy his daughter is shacked up with. Many were first time clay shooters, including my wife, niece and nephew. My wife and nephew both made some dust out of some clays, niece refused to try, I was surprised she came at all to be honest. Still a good morning. Just a friendly reminder to enjoy the good things in life amongst all of the BS in our day to day lives.
  12. The decibulls DID NOT work for me. Very unsatisfied with them, had some hearing issues after using them outdoors with a 9mm, thankfully that went away. Could have been my fault, maybe I didn't mold them correctly? I've been using the silicone ones that look like a power line insulator and have been happy with them. I find them to not be as finicky to get a good fit as the foam style.
  13. I recently put a Trijicon on my P320. It was a little bit of a challenge, because SIG has at least three different screw patterns for their slides. I didn't realize that initially so the first adapter plate I ordered did not fit. I ended up eating the shipping costs to return it. SIG also offers barrels that support and do not support the Chamber Indicator Slide design. That can also impact the fitment of a RDS. The adapter plate I have does have rear sights built into it. Shortly after I installed mine I had the opportunity to shoot a P320 which had the SIG Romeo RDS installed from the factory. Overall I preferred the Trijicon, I did prefer the lower profile of the Romeo. It has taken me a little bit to get used to using the RDS, I feel like I'm aiming low, but the round goes where the dot was and that's what matters. If you decide to install it yourself, make sure you use removable lock-tite and do not over-torque the screws! Which leads me to another benefit of the Romeo, the battery is replaced from the top, no need to remove the RDS from the slide. Trijicon is from the bottom, so I need to remove it from the slide to replace the battery.
  14. No impact. Yes you need to go through the process (minus fingerprinting) each time.
  15. FYI, I used UPS to ship a handgun to Ruger back in August. First off, Tinton Falls was the only location anywhere nearby that accepted "Dangerous Goods" as UPS called it. I then needed to call Ruger from UPS and have them email me a copy of their FFL. UPS had to see that I was shipping it to the same address on the FFL. Ruger ended up sending it back to me via FedEx (long story there) and of course FedEx was a hassle to deal with getting it back. I wanted Ruger to send it UPS, because UPS would hold it at Tinton Falls for me since a signature was required. FedEx will not hold firearms for pickup. They won't hold powder either, I learned that the hard way too and paid extra to have the powder redirected to an address where someone could sign for it.
  16. This reminds me, his son posted on Reddit that he will be continuing the business. https://www.reddit.com/r/NJGuns/comments/oh3o06/is_eh_salomon_shooters_supply_still_open/
  17. When will Bucky mandate everyone always wear PFD incase they're trapped in a flood? (South Park reference for those of you not familiar.)
  18. I've never heard of NICS being more than several days, 2-3 years ago it would be anywhere from 5 min to an hour. Getting a new/updated FID and/or new Permit to Purchase a Handgun can easily take 6 months, depending on the issuing agency based on where you live. I've waited over 6 months before, the last two batches have been under two weeks. Switching to electronic vs paper has speed it up for me. I go through NJSP since I do not have a local PD. Towns that do not put the manpower into them will still take 6 months or longer. I don't know you're reasoning for coming back to NJ, based on another thread you started it sounds like for family? If possible, have you thought about Pa instead? Not only will you keep your 2A Rights, you'll also keep a lot more of your money. NJ Property (and other) taxes are absurdly high.
  19. In the past I've run BFG KO2 and different Michelins. The BFG were a tad noisier and I took a 1-2 mpg hit (that matters when only getting low teens to begin with) they also wore very quick. The last set of Michelin I had (I can look up model if you want), were quieter, did not have the mpg hit, but also wore quick and were not as good when pushing snow. The Coopers seem to be pretty good all around for my needs. I typically put Michelin on my wife's small SUVs, I might try Coopers this time for her also. I'm getting close to needing them, if we have a harsh winter these won't last the whole season. Unless Bucky closes in person learning again, then it won't really matter as much.
  20. I've been happy with the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT I put on my GMC 2500HD. The extent of my "off-roading" consists of dirt tracks; but I also plow snow commercially. Number one complaint I typically read about with Cooper tires in general is trouble getting them balanced. I was lucky and did not have any issues.
  21. I was issued an e-FID even though I did not ask for it. I applied for fresh P2Ps on Aug 17, approval email came this morning and included a link and security code to access my e-FID. The email stated paper FIDs were no longer being issued (we know) but it did not say if I could continue to use the paper FID or not. I assume so, since the paper ones do not list an expiration date like a DL. The issue date on the e-FID is today also, not the original date of issue.
  22. I store components & reload in my unfinished/non-climate controlled basement. I leave the powder in the factory jugs. Excess primers get put in a vacuum sealed bag. Powder & primers are not stored near each other or near the furnace/water heater or clothes dryer. I've been meaning to make a fire-insulated box to store them in, but I just have not gotten around to it yet.
  23. My brother is looking to sell table/chairs and china cabinet. Table is 72" x 44" without the 18" leaf installed and includes six chairs; two with arms. China cabinet is 48" x 19" and is a two piece design for moving. $500 obo for everything. I can get more pictures upon request. Transportation can be discussed (I have an enclosed trailer). My brother(s) and I will get it into my trailer if requested, you will need your own labor to unload it. Or you can pickup yourself in Princeton Junction, 08550. He has it posted elsewhere as well.
  24. I believe storage by way of battery is also not permitted.
