  1. I have no idea if you can get permits in those states. I know only that the site says which states honor the permits you have, and which do not.
  2. According to the site I mentioned above, if you include AZ and CT, the following would be the states that would *not* honor the five permits you currently have: NJ (obviously) ; NY ; PA, MD; MAss, RI, Maine, SC, MI, IL, MN, CO, Calif, OR.
  3. Originally, while still living in NJ (2014), I had taken the "Multi-State" CCW course offered by "ShootersonTarget.com." It was offered at the Quinton Sportsmen's Club in Salem, NJ. Sadly, it appears as though it is no longer offered there, as the site is gone. Oh well. I'm sure there has to be someone offering to do paper prints for out of state apps. The course I took had a LEO who specialized in printing on site to take the prints. It was included in the course fee, along with the required app docs, photos, Notary services, a bunch of stuff. And they also offered the live fire portion at the Quinton Sportsmen's club (BYOG and ammo). Sorry they're no longer in business. They were pretty good.
  4. You can best track it though the USA Carry Reciprocity Website... You can see what combination of non-res permits you would need to cover most of the states you'd want. Click on the states where you have permits and it will say what other states honor them. For me, I have FL (Res) and UT/AZ (Non-Res) and I'm pretty much covered where I want to be. I don't need to be anywhere else my permits aren't honored.
  5. Welcome to the forum, from a former NJ'ian and current Floridian. Unfortunately, the answer to your question is "no," per this document from the Florida DOACS website. https://laso.freshfromflorida.com/documentTemplates/LASO_FP_Instructions.pdf
  6. To summarize what others have said, here (since I've done this)... 1) It is not necessary to have a NJ CCW to transport weapons in your car under FOPA rules. As long as you encase them and store them per those rules, you should be fine. 2) I concur with the I-81 route as mentioned above. It's what I've used all the time and it's a nice, scenic travel route throughout the Shenandoah valley in VA. If you live in/near Hunterdon County, it's the route to take. a) I-78W all the way out in PA to I-81 south b) I-81 S all the way through PA, MD, WVa, and VA. The travel time through MD is only 10 minutes and 12 miles. c) I-77 S (from I-81 S), all the way through VA, NC, and SC (Columbia), to I-26 E. d) I-26 E to I-95 South. Continue as you would if you had gone all the way down I-95. 3) The point of all the above (and the warnings about MD, etc), is to avoid the "Harbor Tunnels" at all costs! That is where the MTAP use those ALPR cameras and and all that data mined by the MCAC. If you got your FL CWFL some time ago (maybe 6-10 years ago), it is possible that MCAC has that information. If one of the Harbor tunnel patrols scans your plate and it flags you as a CCW holder, they *will* attempt to stop you and search your car for weapons. Refer to the case of Mr. John Fillipidis. 4) If you must travel down I-95 (i.e. you are closer to the Del. Memorial Bridge than I-81), you can take the US-301 alternate route down the Eastern Shore of MD and across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. That will take you across US-301/50 to the Capital Beltway and on to I-95 beyond Washington DC. you don't have to touch DC.. And yes, STAY OUT OF DC WITH ANY WEAPONS! To take the US -301 route: a) Find your way to I-95 (Del. Turnpike) however you get to it (either I-495 or Del. Memorial Bridge). b) Take Del Tpk to Del route 1. in Christina. You'll pass right by the Cabela's in the Christina Mall. c) Take Del 1 south All the way to Del-896 (Boyd's Corner Road). d) DL-896 (Boyd's Corner Road) West to US-301 South. Follow US 301-south all the way down to Bay Bridge. e) Continue US-301 S / 50 West to the Capital Beltway and then go south to I-95. Good Luck!
  7. So, to clarify, it's only "non resident" licenses that are affected by this (NH included). PA, for example will still honor "resident" permits from States like Florida... Here is the Hangunlaw.us listing for PA, effective today (tomorrow, officially):
  8. Because there isn't one. Ermey was never on Survivor. It was Rudy Boesch, the Navy Seal that was on the first Survivor season in Borneo.
  9. Ant - Sadly, Sandy's mike either wasn't turned on or wasn't working. All we heard of him was through your mike.. Sorry....
  10. I don't seem to be getting calls that such a free ap might be feeding me. I know where the calls are coming from. After all, my business phone number is public info. on a public website. And I have the same app on my personal cell phone and I hardly get any of these calls.
  11. That I can still appreciate the artistic talents of certain "liberals/liberal minds..." I stumbled upon this on YouTube, earlier this afternoon. Apparently, NBC produced a live broadcast of the classic Rock Opera, "Jesus Christ Superstar." from Brooklyn, just for Easter Sunday. Having been a huge fan of the original Broadway musical and seeing it there (I was, once, into theater, heavily in my HS days), I was intrigued by this. At the time, the Broadway Musical starred Ben Vereen as Judas (my first introduction to him), and Yvonne Elliman as Mary Magdalene. But wouldn't ya know.... On our date to see it, Ben Vereen was out sick (had that accident) and his understudy, Carl Anderson was playing Judas that evening. As it turned out, Carl did go ahead and play Judas in the film production. In this live broadcast last night, there were some actors with whom you might have some familiarity.... Sara Bareilles (singer who wrote/sang "Love Song" and "Brave"), plays Mary Magdalene and Johnny Legend plays Jesus. And, of all people. Alice Cooper plays King Herrod. But I learned later that he has experience doing that role so he was an easy choice. This is a pretty faithful rendition of the original Rock Opera. And all of the actors do the material justice. Both Lloyd-Webber and Rice were involved in this production, so it appears to have the "seal of approval." If you want to see it, the whole thing is on YouTube in chunks, but you can see them in sequence: Jesus Christ Superstar - Live from Brooklyn...
  12. So do I. And yes, it is free. It often finds identifying info for the number listed. Yah, I get those calls also. Thank goodness for caller ID. It works wonders.
  13. Welcome from Tampa Bay, Florida from a former NJ'ian.
  14. I also had a membership at the Easton PA location for Heritage Guild. I never bought any weapons there, just range time and a small bit of ammo (when renting one of their weapons). But I never felt "abused" by any of the RSOs, there. I did have a membership for a year, but I did not renew, only because I knew I was moving to FL at the time.
  15. I would go to either Hernando Sportmen's club, or to this facility: Dade City Rod & Gun Club, near Dade City.
  16. If it's the same group managing it as Shooter's World, Tampa, it's pretty good. I was a member of the Tampa facility (located at Fletcher and Florida Avenues). They have both 25 and 100 yard ranges and a plethora of inventory for sale. I highly recommend them.
  17. Absolutely! Help us dilute the influx of anti-libtards that are coming from up there!
  18. BTW, check your other credit cards besides Visa, MC, etc. For example, my Shell Oil card is also Citi based. That is, if you're looking to dump them..
  19. Ant - Any updates on this? I watched and the segment wasn't on this week's show, either....
  20. He did sign it, after I posted the above. No, he can't run for Gov. again, but he can run for US Senator. The dem. incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson is running this year, and the thinking is that he'd run for that seat. If we FL 2A folks have any say, he'll never get there.
  21. We'll see, but I seriously doubt Fox News purposely bumped the segment. Fox is known for covering Pres. Trump live, anytime he goes out and speaks to the public in these events. I don't think they could have anticipated when Pres. Trump was going to speak or for how long. I believe they'll reschedule it ASAP.
  22. In which case, the LEO would most likely advise you that any future P2P applications (or FID change of address, etc.) would be "denied." and you "need not apply again." Furthermore, if you were to apply again, you'd have to answer "Yes" to the question of whether or not your application ever was "denied" for any reason.... Better just to tell them you haven't bought one. First of all, how would they even know you bought a long gun? Do they get notified by NJ NICS that you had a NICS check done? Obviously, they'd know when you buy a hand gun since they'd get the P2P copy back from the FFL. But a long gun???
