  1. Waiting on the 17 and 19M aka Gen 5 (hoping they are coming out after Shot Show)
  2. My Glocks only get the following: Trigger - stock or an OEM Glock Connector at most - I don't do polishing or trigger jobs I just dry fire and clean/lube the heck out of it when new so it smoothes out naturally OEM extended slide catch NDZ performance extended (and laser machined not stamped steel junk) takedown lever for frame BT Guide Rods recoil assembly (black) - none of that bright shiny allen screw crap, and Bill's units use stock springs for reliability (I have one on my G19 Gen4 and my G26 Gen4) www.btguiderods.com Vickers Tactical mag release (best one out there, I've tried a total of 3) No backstraps or stipple work for me Glock Doc custom sights (basically a Trijicon HD front with a Trijicon Bright and Tough rear, installed for $120, all the pluses of the HD's, but not as tall) A plethora of spare Glock mags (I have 5 for each pistol) I had a butt plug in my G26 (Glockmeister) and it just slips out since it is friction fit in there, so I left it out and didn't buy one for my 19 - I don't miss it
  3. The last thing we need for Trump as an "anti-establishment" and drain the swamp candidate is to put Tubby Krispy Kreme Kristie in the swamp to drain it with a belly flop -
  4. Local Office on the form because that is where you physically work - I haven't read it personally as I'm not an employer but on the references it basically just asks if you are a drunk, felon, domestic abuser, loser, or if they feel there is a reason you should be denied a Firearms ID or a permit to purchase a pistol - and if they answer yes they have to explain in great detail - "I don't like guns and my company doesn't" is not a good answer for that one - For what its worth my last rounds of permits they didn't even send letters out to my references or employers -
  5. LUCKY son of a gun - we are a few months behind you - we need to help keep some of these states in the south Red LOL
  6. Subbed - maybe we can get gun rights back by way of tasers LOL - personally I would feel better if my wife could carry a taser when she is out alone without me
  7. It sounds great in theory - but NJ allowing a federal carry permit in these communist borders is a LOL thought to me - Krispy Kreme and the gang would be suing the federal government so fast

    PPQ 45

Yes - if you want a bead up front I believe you have to go with 10-8 Performance sights - They sell a blacked out rear as well - the rear would need to be pressed in - a free mod would be to sharpie out the dots on the rear sight, some don't like the amount of air but I actually like a wider notch for quicker sight acquistion Light/laser is a good idea although I keep an LED torch next to my nightstand and pistol -
  9. ^^Ding ding - I wouldn't be bringing hollow points to the range unless you just bought them there and are bringing them home - A lot of the people using JHP ammo at the range are probably LEO's who have the ability to carry or use it (us common folk don't get as many privileges) - I wouldn't bring anything but ball ammo to the range, personally.

    PPQ 45

Thanks! The nice part of the 320 is the modularity if you want to switch sizes - I am moving out of the PRNJ so I may get the Subcompact conversion for it and have a Subcompact 45 for carrying - The P320's are not in huge supply so you may have to look at getting one online and transferred - there is a seller on GB that ships for free with no CC fees and has good stock of the 9mm's - I'd get the Compact 9mm personally as opposed to the Full, or Carry (both needing modified mags) - Let me know if you get one, this is my first Sig so I'm excited - However, for your PPQ (which I am in love with mine), I HIGHLY recommend spending the $140 on the Trijicon HD sights, they are a DIY install, no gunsmith (no tools for rear sight and just a Glock front sight tool for front), and getting your Talon Grips on the 45 - that will make it 100% more pleasurable to shoot for you
  11. All good - With my one foot out the door since our house is going up on the market March 1 and I can feel the sunny south coming my name I forgot to give the disclaimer that it is assumed if you are transporting a handgun within the confines of NJ you better be only going to and from a gun range or gunsmith or picking up from your LGS with no unnecessary deviation. And obviously unloaded and not in direct access of the driver.
  12. Maverick can be had dirt cheap and you can change out parts to better 500/590 parts as needed - action tube, barrels etc - I wouldn't hesitate, Mossberg makes a solid platform Agreed with above though, if you can get a Maverick for $200, if you spend another $100 to $150 you could get a nice Mossberg 500 or 590
  13. I'm sure this is directed at me - I'm in 100% agreement with Kman's post - I am talking about transporting to the range, gunsmith to and from only, etc unless you misread my post - I never once mentioned you can travel around NJ with a pistol in your car just for the hell of it - re-read my post and I clarified about it in bold - how stupid do you really think I would be in NJ to suggest that? You can barely have a gun in your car to transport it to the range, or sneeze and an FMJ bullet goes out the window onto your front lawn when you are working at your reloading table in NJ -
  14. Well at least SAPPA has hope now - I didn't send NH my $100 because I'm on my way out to SC, but yes I agree in national reciprocity needs to be passed and fast -

    PPQ 45

By pick up I mean going to my FFL this weekend - I had to get it transferred so not in my possession yet - The 320's in 9 I have felt, have had excellent triggers (and the frames are very nice gripping as well) and its really splitting hairs with the PPQ, a touch less light (I think the P320 comes in around 6lbs but feels lighter, my PPQ is probably at 4.8lbs and its not even broken in all the way), but super crisp break, no creep, etc - Honestly you can't go wrong with either - the PPQ/VP series from HK/Sig P320 seriously are all on the same wavelength - excellent feel in the hand, Since you have the PPQ in 45 and the 320 in .45 is really tough to come by, I'd honestly say you couldn't go wrong with either, but that P320 Compact having 15+1 and being around $500 when you can find one (standard sights) is a great value - both pistols come with 2 mags and are about $35 for extras - Price of ammo is a concern for me so I don't add .45ACP pistols like I would add 9mm's to my collection - This is only my 2nd .45 and I have 3 9mm's and probably will have a 4th in a few months - I don't do .40 or .357, I like to keep it simple with 9 and 45 - I will definitely get some pics posted and some range impressions when I take it out, I'm scheduled to pick up on Saturday -

    PPQ 45

XDM 45 another great striker fired choice. I am impartial to ambi slide lock as a lefty tho
  17. Cop killahs yes but I have not seen law citing pistols unloaded and regular jacketed ammo being transported in an unlocked container (securely fastened however and not just tossed on your passenger seat) being in violation. "Easily accessible from the passenger compartment" is how I know it

    PPQ 45

I haven't because I have a PPQ 9 but if I had a 45 I surely would get the rubber Talon grips ( I don't like the skateboard tape version) - I've heard it handles the cartridge well as far as recoil goes but could be a bit snappy - The guns are STUPID accurate out of the box though - my first range outing I shot it fine with the standard sights but have switched since to Trijicon HD's - I like the orange focus ring to draw my eye to the front sight as I'm cross dominant and it helps immensely - Great range report, I love my PPQ 9, and if I didn't just pick up an uber rare Sig P320 45 Compact I might consider adding it down the line if I need another .45 (or the as yet rumored but unreleased HK VP45) -
  19. You must have been one of the few towns with your own police i.e. Belvidere, Phillipsburg, etc - I grew up in White Twp My buddy is in Allamuchy and its painful for him -
  20. I can't get out of this state fast enough - I'm glad I don't live in Warren County anymore - Hope Barracks they have absolutely NOTHING better to do - My buddy is still waiting 5 months later for his FPID reference letters to be sent out - troopers out there told him a minimum of 6 months for an FPID to be issued Fuck this state, seriously.
  21. ^Yep I saw Nappen's video on that - try it through Hoboken LOL
  22. In bold is one of the biggest fallacies of NJ - if you are in possession of a FPID and are transporting a firearm in NJ only, only thing needed is to be unloaded and not in the direct access of driver - WE ARE TALKING ABOUT RANGE TRANSPORT, GUNSMITH, TO AND FROM ONLY, I WOULD NOT BE SO RETARDED AS TO IMPLY THAT YOU CAN DRIVE AROUND WITH A PISTOL IN YOUR TRUNK FOR DAY TO DAY Separate secured (locked) containers for ammo and firearms is INTERSTATE federal transport law - I.E. road trip, going between states, etc. Yes the NJSP put it on their website for people traveling THROUGH NJ - If you want to lock your containers when going to the range do whatever you want but its not the law - I am in full compliance of the law having my firearms unloaded in my range bag and my mags are in the same range bag if I'm shooting pistol or rifle, and my ammo is in the same bag - as long as the firearm is not loaded in NJ when traveling you are not breaking the law.
  23. This is also the policy at RTSP - curious what range doesnt allow you to bring your own ammo if you AREN'T renting -
