  1. Simmons for $40 on Amazon and weaver rings ($10-15) like the first reviewer states. Good for the money. 100 yards is pushing the limits most 22, definitely beyond a basic if outdoors. Expectations can color your opinions. Simmons

    SCCY CPX-3

Not much more for the performance center shield and it is an excellent handgun for the money. 9mm is also cheaper than 380.
  3. I'm pumped for this as well since it will cut down on my driving. Will hopefully be able to shoot more often as a result.
  4. also, the backpack only comes with 1 strap for some reason. Makes it a bit uncomfortable to carry with a sling once you put a box of 22 and other range accessories in it. I ordered the PVC adjustable shoulder strap replacement from amazon prime to save on shipping.
  5. I finally got around to buying and shooting the takedown. I thought it did well all stock. I already ordered the bx trigger via Brownell's but honestly the stock trigger felt fine enough for 50 yards at least. Everyone is right about that BS bolt release however, so the VQ bolt release is going in ASAP. Will report once I get a chance to install and get to the range. The rattling bx15 magazine is weird. Did a quick Google search and that appears normal.
  6. I just bought the BX trigger on the Brownell's sale. Will report once I get it in.
  7. I just used it to buy new trigger, new bolt release, and new magazine for 10/22. Thanks for the heads up!
  8. As far as bang (lol) for your buck, I really like del-ton.
  9. I like the shirt more than I expected. Obviously it makes me a walking billboard, but very comfortable.
  10. My dad told me stories of the post Katrina New Orleans after the army was mobilized to help. It's shocking what people are capable of in desperate situations even in the short term.
  11. Insert pic via URL button isn't working. Here's the possum in the grill. Will have to take your word for it on that one.
  12. Forgot how to post a pic lol. Will post it this weekend I promise.
  13. Once opened my grill to find a baby possum hissing at me. Will post the pic once i get home.
  14. Anyone shoot the takedown models and notice any difference between them? Was thinking about doing a lot of customization so likely going with the basic model anyway. Just need to get off my ass and actually do it.
  15. Is being a buyer at the buyback a legit thing? I'm seriously contemplating it unless there is some known harassment from the organizers/police.
  16. Yep working Monday. Have Tues off though!
  17. $20 off $150 I won't be using it. If you use it, post here so others know it's been used. bucks number 490645852 bucks code TWHRTX
  18. You would be surprised how many KKK type groups are out there. My dad once tried to join a range near his property outside Ft Bragg. First question they asked if he had an ancestor who fought for the confederacy in the "war of northern aggression." Then they started explaining some of the requirements and said they were the sons of whatever, dropping hints about it. Less than half hour from my parents' property and we never knew all these years.
  19. Good deal. Just wanted to make sure I don't need to look out for the email.
  20. Took me a day to decide in it since I ddint need it and can always wait for a CCI deal. I couldn't lay off in the end. Do they email you later to ask for FID?
  21. i definitely recommend the bolted down safe somewhere in the bedroom. You'll always know where it is and will have it when most vulnerable. You won't have time to react in most other situations. I had a shelf collapse once in my living room while I was dead asleep. It took me a few secs to wake up and get oriented, then dozens more secs for me to process the noise and realize this may be a home intruder. It was easily a full 1-2 mins before I had my pistol out. i had a buddy who woke up to get a drink of water in the middle of the night. His bulldog lazily walked to the kitchen with him. On the way, he stood face to face with an intruder who was carrying a hammer. All 3 were in a state of shock. The intruder just stared at the dog, then ran out. My buddy said he didn't reach for anything and didn't really move at all. Oddly, the dog just stared at the intruder as well. And you can talk about training, combat exp, etc. This buddy saw a lot of combat and was shot in the butt by 7.62 a la Forrest Gump. He still woke up disoriented and not at his full wits.
  22. Google the Reddit thread on funny names for Benedict. i.e. Wimbledon tennis match peppermint Scooby snack
  23. Also noticed a lot of pistol mag sales. No M&P though.
  24. Nutley is a nice area. I currently live in Weehawken because of the ease to get to and home from work at all hours. If you have normal working hours 8-5 ish then Nutley is zero problem commuting to the city. Definitely look at all expenses. I pay 6x more for the exact same car insurance since moving to this state, and btw my car is obviously older since moving here.
