  1. Thanks for that info. Have you actually shot the IMI stuff? Any issues? How clean is it?
  2. That's what I've experienced with the handgun ammo, so I only shoot decent brass now. I didn't think going to steel case in 223, even though I've seen it almost $100 lower on a case, would be worth it. I've been searching around the normal sources and haven't seen any brass near the steel prices. Care to give a source? Not interested in reloading, but maybe I'll save the brass and make wifey a nice necklace and matching bracelet.
  3. Just reading this thread, trying to determine steel versus brass case (in 223) for indoor range. Is it generally considered a no-go for steel case indoors at most ranges in the area? Does it vary at different ranges? Big difference in case prices of steel versus brass, but if the RO gives you a hard time about it, do you just suck it up and buy the brass case to be safe?
  4. These are fun guns, plus a big bonus, you might be able to share your existing handgun mags (depending what you currently own) so it saves having to inventory/buy more new mags (which is a personal pet peeve of mine). Plus, you can use existing ammo inventory too!
  5. I'm looking to do the same thing, that app helps saving time and money, as to not apply for a permit that just duplicates my other permitted ones, and doesn't add additional states.
  6. I downloaded a app called CCW - Concealed Carry 50 State (I think it was $1.99), and you can plug in all your resident and non-resident permits, and it tells you where you can legally carry with reciprocity. Plus, it updates with new laws and state changes. Makes for a good quick reference. When you select a state, it has the current CCW laws for that state. Plus, you can do a "what if" scenario and plug in a new state to see how it affects your current list, to see if it's worth applying for that extra state CCW.
  7. Here's her new contact info: Reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer. I cover the Philly suburbs: Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. Ex-@AsburyParkPress. [email protected]. https://twitter.com/kathspark?lang=en From one of her tweets (May 3rd): Didn’t expect to announce a job change in a tweet about public defecation, but here it is: I’ve moved to The Philadelphia Inquirer, where I’ll be covering the Philly suburbs. Happy to be here, and to learn from an astounding number of talented people. Tip? [email protected].
  8. Ha Ha My order was delivered today. Wifey wasn't home at the time... whew, pulled another delivery off without getting busted
  9. So sad... we now have to protect ourselves..... from ourselves... Society is doomed.....
  10. and they make the gun look even more evil.
  11. Very true. I saw some data recently where they drilled down deeper than State and deeper than county for homicides. They looked at it from a city by city level. When you remove the top 4 - 6 cities (Chicago, New Orleans, Baltimore and a few more), the gun violence level in our country approaches some of the more peaceful countries.
  12. Any possibility, after those 10 years, it was your BODY that changed, not the jeans?

Losing a furkid is one of the most difficult things to deal with. Our pups give us their 100% love and attention and ask for very little in return. Keep your spirits up @Maximus, the two of you will be back together some time in the future.
  14. I agree. She went heavy on facts and data, plus added a bunch of personal interviews. Overall, a very unbiased article and very good. This was very surprising, considering the hard Left leaning of the Asbury Park Press. They never post Pro 2A articles. What did she have to do to convince her editor to allow it?
  15. I used it to keep the puppy from chewing on his wood gate. Does that count ? (BTW, it worked)
  16. Well, maybe two of them, for the novelty value... I'm not into older, traditional wood stocks.... I like my firearms "black and evil looking"....
  17. Thank for all the feedback. His oldest son is the Power of Attorney, so I'll share will him all this info and see how he wants to proceed. Of course, being the helpful son-in-law that I am, a few of those long guns should come my way, right?
  18. We have to put my father-in-law into an assisted living facility. He owns assorted long guns and a few handguns, acquired multiple decades ago (long before the FID became law), some while living in NY State and some from Colorado, a few here in NJ. I trying to figure out how to legally find a home for them. 1) He doesn't have a FID card, but a few other family members do. I'm assuming he could sign a COE and transfer the long guns to anyone with a FID card, correct? Or, deos he also need a FID to do this transfer? The handguns would require a P2P permit from a FID holder. 2) I'm assuming the long guns can't be given to one of his kids if they don't have a FID card, right? 3) Would or can a FFL dealer purchase the whole lot of the long guns and handguns, even without definitive paperwork where they were purchase? This would be the easiest way to deal with them, in one complete package, but not sure if this is legal. Any other legal ways to find homes for them, short of just dropping them off at a local LEO station.
  19. I'll second that. I believe the first consideration should be the fuel source, and I believe LP is the best choice. You can store multiple tanks, or get a big tank, it never goes bad or needs to be treated, it's safe to store, and in a real pinch, when electric is off and you can't find a open gas station, a new tank of propane is over the fence attached to your neighbors grill.
  20. Just ordered some 9mm too (really didn't need it). Code still works.
  21. There's some truth to that, after all, there's the mental health background check as part of the FID approval.
  22. Or a small piece of property that's surrounded by government owned, vacant property, like in the Pinelands.
