UPDATE*** 1/16/20 application started 1/16/20 reference #1 replied 1/17/20 reference #2 replied 1/24/20 criminal history check completed 2/11/20 get a call from firearms unit @ PD that I have to pay for the permits before the application can go any further 2/22/20 application has been approved 3/3/20 was called that permits are in and now in hand (dated 2/28/20) Process was easy....almost 2 months wait, but for a heavily heavily democrat town w/o a sliver of republican representation I'm impressed. * now off to the candy store*

Ruger sent me a calltag for FedEx Next Day, and specifically said to tell them (FedEx) that it is a firearm. FedEx rep only said thank you and it is policy that you let them now it is a firearm that I am shipping, and alot of people ship firearms. and they shipped back with signature required.

(how are you making me pay for something I don't even have in my hands?) ALL in ALL I had to leave work early TWICE just to do an online application.. so now it will be 3x when I pick them up smh... has anyone else had to pay before getting the actual permit in hand?!

This is the exact moment I'm in RIGHT NOW... 1/16 applied 1/17 all references were done. Criminal history was done 1/26. Now here we are. this is a shame. I know some people that have a 2-3 week turnaround...

My FFL has them for $369 was going to grab one as soon as the permits came in, but from what I'm hearing I might have to hold off till Glock figures it out. Apparently the slides are cracking. *yikes

This is the one in Phoenixville,PA. Is it worth it as a NJ resident to even go?! Can we even buy anything here with all the laws that are in play? Just wondering if anyone has been to one and is it really worth the trip.

Cheyennes(bordentown) I know they have p229s but they dont have USP's well last time I checked besides no way of shooting them. and @Shane45 my budget is $700-$900

Well I have some permits coming in and I'm about to splurge $$$$ this go around. But I am stuck in a dilemma, I am torn between the Sig P229 enhanced elite and the HK USP compact both chambered in 9mm.. obviously do not want to buy both at this time (maybe in the later future). But I would like some opinions from the forum guys who have shot both or which either one, and if you had to pick just one which one are you grabbing 1st from the store?!

Well my township of Willingboro,NJ (Burlington County) is now online and I just did my first application on FARS, Was very easy and one of my references already submitted their reference back. I like how it sends you an email for each process.. So today is 1/16/20.. Will update when permits are ready for pick up.

Was leaning towards a S&W compact recently but I might just end up getting this... looked @ a few conversion kits they're running close to the $300 side with no frame and only one magazine..where this is a whole firearm w/ a few mags and a reputable company...reports say its going to be priced around the $399 range.

Thanks for the reply... so it sounds like all I have to do is pin and weld the muzzlebrake on a 10.5 and or a 11.5 with a standard mil-spec buffer tube.
