Ranges near Somerset?

So i just got the call that my FID is ready and now I need to find a range. Just for pistols to start but will eventually want to bring a shotgun too.

 

I was planning on going to Rays sport shop on 22, but I just found out its been closed for a few months now. And most of the ranges I've been able to find through google look like they are private.

 

Anybody familiar with anything else in the area?

There's nothing close to us, frankie. 30+ miles.

There is a private range in bridgewater. I'm not really sure what the deal with it is though.

 

Not really sure where you are in somerset, but Old Bridge is about 12 miles away.

 

Unless you are looking for public ranges.. then the 30 miles figure would probably be correct

ahh that sucks. I'm in Hillsborough, so if I go 2 miles west it's nothing but farms. I figured since I'm out in the sticks there would be a nice big open range somewhere out here....

 

I guess Old Bridge might be the closest.....

Bridgewater is nice the only problem is there is no automation. You have to walk the range to change targets and move tables to change distance.

Frankie, that Bridgewater range should be pretty close to you?

SCFGPA is in Bridgewater. Good for handguns. Nice range for practice. Does have IDPA monthly.

Not a member, dont know much about it other than a little pricey,full registration..only a waiting list available.
