All of my ammo was lost in the same boating accident that claimed most of my rifles. Damn these NJ waters!

 

You have no legal reason in NJ to have a gun on a boat, therefore since they can't find your guns, they'll charge you with something.

 

 

Surprisingly, your boat is considered same as your home as far as guns go and you are allowed to have a gun on your boat anytime you wish as long as it is stored properly.
