coldsolderjoint 84 Posted October 15, 2009 My dog has about 15 stitches in his face after he was attacked by a wild animal on the beach by our house. My father was walking him and he stuck his nose into a bush and he came out a bloody mess. We got the same rabies letter. And $1000 vet bill.

Nathaniel Firethorn 0 Posted October 17, 2009 NJDHSS Rabies Fact Sheet My wife and I have encountered raccoons that might have been rabid twice: once in Griggstown a few years ago and once in Monmouth Junction a couple of weeks ago. In both cases they were out in daylight and acting unafraid. The one in Monmouth Junction actually chased us. - NF
