what old rifles are cheap and fun to shoot

id like to get an m1 garand, but they seem to cost a lot more than most others. what other cheap fun rifles are out there.

Yugo Mauser is one of the best deals going right now. An SKS is fun too.. but if you are going that route.. might as well get a WASR (Not really C&R.. but loads of fun).

Mosins and Yugo mausers are what you are lookin for if you are lookin cheap and accurate. Right now m44 carbine nagants are going for about 125.00, 91-30's (longgggggg) are going for about 85, and beautiful yugo 24/47 mausers are going to set you back about 150-200. Out of all of them I'd go with a yugo mauser. Their machining is much higher quality, many were unissued since refurb so it is not hard to find one with a new barrel. They (in my opinion) are the best deal out there right now. Aim has spam cans of romanian ammo for them for 99.00 free shipping.

I got my Mauser pretty cheap, as well as my Mosin...both are a blast to fire...only if my buddy didnt lose the band spring on the Mauser on saturday
