Wolfy 51 Posted January 17, 2010 http://www.precisionbullets.com/ Does anybody know anything about this product?
Sigman 41 Posted January 18, 2010 I can't help you about the product. It looks like a lead bullet with some type of coating. But...at $111.00 for (1000) 230gr. .45 ACP I would rather buy (1000) 230gr. .45 ACP FMJ from Precision Delta for $114.00. These are excellent high quality FMJ bullets. You can't go wrong with these. These are cheaper than some of the plated bullets I have seen. http://www.precisiondelta.com/detail.php?sku=B-45-230-FMJ When I buy lead, I go to SNS Casting. Excellent bullets and very fast shipping. (1000) .45 ACP Lead RN are $77.00. I use their lead bullets in .38 sp, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. The 180gr. .40 S&W shoot extremely accurate with HP38 in my Sig 226. http://shop.snscasting.com/ Excellent service from both of these places.
XDJohnTact 49 Posted January 18, 2010 We bought some in 147gr 9mm for lead shoots when we first started reloading. They were alright but we really like the Rainier or Montana Gold much better.

I buy Montana Gold and now feel like I get ripped! LOL Gotta get some next order.
rscalzo 3 Posted January 18, 2010 Precision Delta is cheap Are you kidding. They are only four dollars less than what I pay for Berry's plated. Cast should run about $45 per 500 round box for the caliber I use the most. That price was more in line when the cost of lead was way up, which it isn't any longer. Adding the shipping brings it up even further. They might be great, but priced along the lines of a good plated bullet. Not that much cheaper than the jacketed bullets I buy in bulk. The 9mm and 40 S&W I saw on Precision Delta is FMJ, not just lead and is cheaper than Montana Gold. I am not saying it is better since I haven't shot any of it. I don't think their new Ammo or reloaded Ammo prices are that good but the bullet prices looked OK to me?
rscalzo 3 Posted January 18, 2010 I stand corrected. For some reason the site I looked at was a hard cast bullet. The only problem is their selection is very limited in the FMJ area, at least in the .451 type. I use Golden West foer both handgun and rifle. Very high quality. http://www.goldenwestbrass.com/

XDJohnTact 49 Posted January 22, 2010 I dug out a box of 147gr 9mm Precision lead that I loaded last year and brought it to the BA meet on Wednesday. This stuff shoots great! It is a little smokey but has low recoil and very accurate. Chad shot a 5 shot group that could probably be covered with a .50 piece and he had never shot my XD before. We loaded this stuff especially for steel shoots, fast recovery from shot to shot and low recoil. For the price, it is good stuff.
