KpdPipes 388 Posted February 10, 2010 No, tnhey are not registered, however there IS a record of the sale with the FFL if you bought from a dealer and not f2f.
coldsolderjoint 84 Posted February 10, 2010 Registration is a Voluntary Option (Why you would do that, is beyond me).
Fishpaw 17 Posted February 10, 2010 They arent supposed to keep the records of the NICS check and all that, but NJ also has the Certificate of Eligibility, which is almost identical to the federal form, and im positive NJ keeps a copy of the COE. The only record is the 4473.
Dewhitewolf 8 Posted February 10, 2010 Not registered, per se. But they can check the records of FFL's to determine who purchased what. Same with handguns, really. They are only registered to NJ, if they are purchased in NJ. If you moved here from another state and brought handguns with you, there is no requirement to register them.
