JonF 79 Posted March 22, 2010 Did some riding this past weekend on a variety of trails in the pine barrens from fast open dirt roads to tight single track. I also tested out my new GoPro Hero HD for the first time and worked out well as a helmet cam. The vids are always compressed when uploaded to youtube but the raw quality is outstanding. I just wish the battery life was better as i run out of power before storage space. Single track: mqRYlbzAjMM A little pit action: 5tIVp0TR30U Some faster double track with some water crossings: 6iv3AsQciwQ

tony357 387 Posted March 22, 2010 very cool, i thinking, afraid it might rip his head off if he gets thrown from the boat at 75 MPH.. would be cool to mount it to the boat and not his helmet.. ill have to check the one monted to the surf board.. Caine 147 Posted March 23, 2010 That looks like a lot of fun. I'm also impressed with how stable the video looks considering you're offroad and all. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing Since the camera attaches to your helmet, it gains stability from your head and body's natural motion damping. mounting it hard to the vehicle would result in a lot of vibration. JonF 79 Posted March 23, 2010 where was this? I'm not really totally sure. We wander through the state forests down in the pine barrens usually getting lost exploring various trails and then finding our way out eventually.
