Upgrading a 10/22 question

I have a bone stock 10/22 I was thinking of upgrading with

 

Hogue overmold stock in black

tactical solutions fluted matte threaded barrel compensator

Harris hbr-s

 

Will there be any improvement (other than look) with this setup

 

are there better products that are comparable pricewise

 

any suggestions on something else to do.

 

Where can I get a good price on this stuff

Barrel will help depending on how your factory barrel was. Some are good, some not so much. How about working the trigger with a volquartsen trigger job? I would also get one of the new Tactical Solution magazine releases. They are slick. Rimfire Sports & Custom http://www.rimfiresports.com/merchant.m ... e_Code=RSC has pretty good prices or wait for MidwayUSA to have a sale. Also, the auto bolt release. The factory one is a PITA to operate.

thanks for the link. i ended up ordering a hogue overmold black stock and a harris bipod (overkill but i'll probably use it on a future firearm).

 

now i think ill go with the green mountain 18" bull in black if i can find one.

 

i'll also check out the stuff you suggested. that bolt release is a pain. i wish the bolt stopped after the last round too. do they make any mods that do that?

nice. can you post what you have done to it?

 

whats nice about modding the 10/22 is how easy it is to hide parts from the wife. once you get the exterior stuff done that is. internals are all the same

wow. thats a serious setup. i just got my stock and bipod today. fits well. just have to swap the barrel out now. thinking a green mountain 18" bull but EVERYONE is out of stock. will i have issues shooting this stock with a stock barrel?

Don't rush your modding,keep your 10/22 stock until you have all the upgrades you want ready to install.

They do but the reviews are mixed and you can only use specially modified magazines. I just pull the bolt back ever so slightly to check that there is a round in the chamber. This keeps me from dropping the hammer on an empty chamber most of the time.
