Probably took him as long to do that animation as it would take me to do a ground up actual build! That some serious work! He forgot 1 part though, anyone?

Looks like he forgot the sear pin but it shows up in the next set of frames already in..... But maybe it's something else....

Sear pin is inserted from the opposite side of view. You see it fill the hole.

I noticed it doesn't have a full length guide rod... Mine has a guide rod with a hex head and a ring that goes around it (what the barrel bushing locks down)... Is it possible to change that to the one depicted in this animation?

Yup. It's easy. Go to midwayusa.com and order a GI guide rod, rod plug, and spring.

I actually like my full length setup. It allows me to slip the slide off the frame without having to fiddle with the bushing. I can do most cleaning and lubrication this way. If you have a tightly fitted 1911 (mine is a Dan Wesson, and it is TIGHT), the FLGR is nice. If I had a looser fitting 1911, I would go with the Government guide rod setup.
