Any Car Audio Video Guys

Recommended Posts

Here is what i am thinking. We have a 1 and a 3 year old. I do not want a overhead console dvd. Headrest ones are mostly crap. In my house i use the PS3 to stream all of my downloaded movies, music, and pictures right to my TV.

I am thinking of getting a PSP 3000 that supports video out, and am going to try to find either just headrest monitors (no DVD) or ones that will attach to the headrest(no DVD)

It would be like having a pc in the truck since it does everything.

Thoughts?

Thanks

This can work but you may need to customize the setup a little. You can get PSP 3000 video cables that go to RCA outputs. From there you may need to get a RCA splitter box to split the signal to go to the 2 monitors. You'll have to check but I'm pretty sure these monitors have the standard RCA Inputs:

Those are big 10" screens though - they replace your headrests but may be kinda big.

I have an old psp, but i have to check if i can play movies from the SD card, or all of this would be bogus. If this works, it will be killer. Can store a lot of movies, and not worry about DVD's

Yes you can play videos from the memory card. You just have to encode them in MP4 format. Do a search for PSP Video Conversion - there are some free tools out there.

Actually already have one that does my zune. I download the same on for the psp

Thanks
