Cherry Hill - Renewing Pistol Permits

Has anyone ever renewed their pistol permits in Cherry Hill? What is the process? Is there paperwork involved, or do I just show up, present my permit, and they extend it on the spot?

 

My permit is about 7 days from running out and the gun I want to buy (Beretta PX4 Compact) isn't due to be released until some time in September.

i have not done it yet but i will be at the police dept tomorrow to renew my one permit i have left. when dechurcio was handling i spoke with him and he said after it expires come in drop it off to records and they will extend it no big deal maybe like 3 days max he told me

Good to know. Thank you. Funny I have to wait until it expires. I was pretty impressed with Cherry Hill. I figured that the permitting process would take months, and they had it done in 4 weeks, which actually worked against me!

 

If only Beretta could deliver new products that fast...

Call and ask. Each department does it a little differently. I went a week before mine expired, and had it extended within 15 minutes. Some departments want you to wait until it expires, but its best to check.
