Im in for Sunday. First match. Looking forward to it. Any tips for the first timer ?

Its unlikely that I will have my holster on time, so I guess I start at low ready? With a penalty?

What kind of gun do you use? I might have an extra holster

I shoot CJ steel but will be doing my first OB steel this Sunday.

No problem.

Anyone know if they have a website for the up to date status for OB static steel? I know OBcats is for USPSA and shows if match is canceled.. I'm wondering cause though weather for Sunday should be nice (maybe windy) ground could be a pond so I don't want to drive 45 mins to find out it's canceled

Mike,

I just read this post. I was in the silver dodge dakota...had a great time. Will definitely be back.

I'll catch up with you at the next one. I also will be going to the outdoor range thursday and fridays during the day if you want to meet up.

Does OB allow entering multiple guns/categories for these matches?

No jon they don't. Totally no reason to bring the 10/22 and ruin my chances at a good finish

I'm joking.. Your good to go on two classes.

Also jon, third Saturday is action rimfire.. Seems to be uspsa style but just .22 rifle or pistol. If my rig is ready we should check it out in may. I just heard about it so haven't made one yet.

Didn't know they did that also, will have to take a look at that, that might be something the OL and I could do down the road if she takes to shooting like I hope she does. Be better than me just leaving the house for a bunch of hours alone.

Yea it seems like a good time. U run a uspsa stage but the day won't be as much in ammo costs.

Anyone got a link to where steel scores would be posted for this past Sundays match? I found the world class steel page but this event wasn't that was it?

Dumb question but I'm new to OB steel

Crap, i thought it was this sunday. :/ Guess i'll have to wait for the CJ match.

The rimfire event sounds good too. My pistols are a bit finicky though so i gotta do something to get more reliability out of them. Its one thing to get 5-6 clean shots off, but 4 mag changes could present an issue. Maybe i'll get one of those ruger 10/22 chargers and do my lightweight treatment to it. :icon_twisted:
