alec.mc 180 Posted June 9, 2011 anybody have any experience with this safe? the dimensions look pretty good, i have a closet in my office with a single bi-fold door, when it's open it measures 31" from the door to the trim. this should fit right in. edit: might this go by another model number? all google pulls up with bighorn 19ecb is the costco sale. BullzeyeNJ 104 Posted June 10, 2011 I have a Bighorn safe that I got from Costco about a year ago when they had a similar sale. Its the wider 40" model. Personally, I really like mine alot. Its my first "big" safe and the extra space alone is a joy to have. The safe is very well built. Lugs around all four doors. Door opens and closes very smoothly. Interior is plush and well thought out for various configurations. The door operation does not hinder storage of firearms at all so the interior dimensions can be used to full capacity. Only negative I would have is that the top shelf has multiple cutouts in it so if you store heavier things there it will start to sag and bow b/c of the weight. Any easy any would be to replace or support it with a piece of plywood. I like the electronic lock and the back up feature. I know its electronic and more likely to have quirks vs the traditional dial but no issues as of now. Fit and finish of the rhino safe is well done. Overall, Im very happy with my purchase. DirtyDigz 1,812 Posted June 10, 2011 ...edit: might this go by another model number? all google pulls up with bighorn 19ecb is the costco sale. I suspect they do the same thing that they do for mattresses and some TV's - make model #'s that are only sold by one retailer to make it more difficult to do direct price comparisons. AnthonyG 36 Posted July 7, 2011 I think I may buy this in the next few days the quality seems good and the added features are nice for the price.
BullzeyeNJ 104 Posted July 7, 2011 Just ordered this Bighorn on sale. Got the wide body last year and love it. The smaller one will be delivered tomorrow. Will give a report once I get it. I think I may buy this in the next few days the quality seems good and the added features are nice for the price.
