irishpete 2 Posted September 9, 2011 So Being a new owner of the PX4 full size, I am curious as to what have other PX4 owners have done to enhance the base gun. What additions/mods are almost mandatory. - example grips What are nice to have - example lasers What are just pimping it out cause you are loaded with cash - tassles If you can be specific on any parts/mods so i can look them up or even better supply a link to the item. Feel free to include holsters etc.... and a pic is worth a thousand words

Underdog 1,593 Posted September 9, 2011 After experiencing the trigger, I think I want one of these! I'd be hard-pressed to decide between one of these and an FNH FNX if I could get either in 9mm with a 15-round magazine and the nice trigger. There is just something nice about having a hammer and being able to put your thumb over it when holstering. I would say that the Beretta has the edge, though, except that FNH usually provides more magazines when purchasing. Are the magazines for the PX4 interchangeable with the Beretta/Stoeger Cougar? Underdog 1,593 Posted September 9, 2011 Has anybody had experience with the compact PX4?
Krdshrk 3,883 Posted September 9, 2011 The mags are not interchangeable, but you can get 15 rounders for the Px4 for a good price. CDNN sometimes has them on sale for about $18 each. They're OEM mags marked as "MDS" instead of "P.B."
diamondd817 828 Posted September 9, 2011 So did that type g come with the stealth/ low profile decocker levers? If not: 1. Stealth decocker levers 2. Night sights 3. Blackhawk cqc serpa holster 4. Polish trigger group internals (lightens the DA pull) 5. Polish barrel, slide stop lever, and decocker levers to a shiny finish? 6. Have the slide polished or cera coated? So, bow do you like shooting that gun?
david8613 69 Posted September 9, 2011 i say get some real night sights, i have a px4 and a sig p226 with sig night sights, BIG difference... those beretta sights that need to recharged to work are chinzy...
irishpete 2 Posted September 9, 2011 So did that type g come with the stealth/ low profile decocker levers? If not: No, it has the standard size levers and I am waiting for BUSA to get the low profile levers in - Anyone know how long these re-inventorying cycle takes ? So, bow do you like shooting that gun? Well only been to the range once with it, but it was fine to shoot. I did have some bumps in the road due to an over zealous RO, bulletyhole & ammo thread
podmannj 0 Posted September 9, 2011 I have a PX4 Compact Type F, I compared it to a Glock and liked the Px4 much better. More accurate, less recoil I think it is great. I like the safety (but this is my first handgun) Had a couple of FTF's the first time out. But then I cleaned/oiled and since then it has been fantastic, over 400 rounds without a single issue The only add on that I have is a Hogue Handall grip The mags that are being sold by CDNN are for a PX4 full size and stick out from the bottom of a compact. (I bought one and returned it) The only place I found extra mags for the PX4 Compact was at Beretta USA

Motofan 10 Posted September 10, 2011 Trijicon 3-dot night sights hogue hand-all grip Lots and lots of magazines Ray, Where did you get the night sights. I'm interested in changing the sights. Can it be done at home with a drift or do I have to take it to someone ?
Krdshrk 3,883 Posted September 10, 2011 Ray and I took ours to a gunsmith. Armament now has a sight pusher for Px4s I found the sights on DVOR.com for $85 each (+ $10 shipping) so I got a set for myself and Ray.
BigBlueQ 7 Posted September 10, 2011 I agree with the additions given above: Hogue Handall Grip Trijicon night sights ( I don't have these -yet- but I plan on getting them, the stock sights are worthless in a dark hallway at night if there may be an intruder) Extra magazines- the MDS mags are Beretta mags, just under a different name Serpa CQC holster Extra ammo A CX4 to put the extra mags in! Underdog 1,593 Posted September 12, 2011 Is it true the PX4 compact cannot be upgraded to nightsights?
Krdshrk 3,883 Posted September 12, 2011 Not yet - the front sight on the Px4 Compact is different than that of the Fullsize and subcompact. You can change the rear sights but that's pretty useless. I think there's a pretty big gap if you change the front sight.
Underdog 1,593 Posted September 12, 2011 I would prefer the compact, and because what you have said, I wouldn't even consider it, now.
diamondd817 828 Posted September 12, 2011 I would prefer the compact, and because what you have said, I wouldn't even consider it, now. It won't be long before they are available. That's the one thing I don't like about the PX4 series, each size has a slightly different design. Whereas Glock are the same exact design across the sizes. irishpete 2 Posted September 15, 2011 Beretta USA just got the Low Profile levers in Stock. Low Profile Levers They are'nt cheap but I ordered them as they should eliminate the one grief spot I have with the Beretta meathooks, I mean, regular huge decocker
