It's going to take the Supreme Court to very explicitly and forcefully say that this violates the constitution and must change. Otherwise I think we're out of luck for a generation.

Now, to the next hurdle - trying to find a place that takes 1.5 X 1.5 photos. It's funny, really: for the retired cops they ask for a 2 X 2 pics (regular passport photo), and for a regular Joe - 1.5 X 1.5, which, as it appears, no one takes.

True. I was pretty amazed how quickly that seemed to change. Now I have more rights there than I do here.
