Want to try Skeet/ trap shooting..

Hi, Im new to the forum and I am happy to have found it. If Im posting this in the wrong section I apologize in advance. I would like to try Skeet or Trap shooting, Im not sure where to go or really how to get started, I generally go to an indoor pistol range. Any help in the South Jersey area for suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure where you are, but Mallard and Citizens shoots on the weekends (Trap) which is open to the public. Central Jersey has Trap and Skeet, you would need to see if you need to be invited as a guest there to shoot. Old Bridge has an informal shotgun event two Sundays a month, kinda like Sporting Clays, it is not Trap or Skeet, open to the public.

There is M&M down in Pennsville if you want to try Sporting Clays, very nice place. There are others not far from you also. Check this link if it works:

I have been to Cedar Creek, good place to shoot Sporting Clays with automated launchers. Some places you need an employee (trapper) to go with you.

 

Be forewarned: Sporting Clays are addictive!
