Oaks Show

Recommended Posts

Well I got back a few hours ago empty handed. I was looking at a few SKS's which was what I really wanted but I felt for what they were the prices were way too high. All in the $380-400 range. I even saw a Norinco without a bayo for 389. Which in my mind is about 100 too much. I brought a shotgun that I was going to sell but ended up leaving it in the trunk. Guess I shoulda brought it in just to get rid of it. Anyone else go and have better luck??

I had the same experience at the Oaks show. I went there looking for an inexpensive sks, and left disappointed. The show had plenty of Mosin 91/30's and ARs, but not much else. I did find a .22lr AR 15 round mag, so I got at least one thing on my list. (that and beef jerky)

yeah I guess so. If I was smart enough to bring my shotgun in and sell it I would have been more inclined to just spend the money and get one. But I left it in the trunk because I didn't see anyone else walking in with their own stuff to sell. Guess I could always try here.

What a great show. I was not there 5 minutes when I saw a table outside the mens room with a guy selling reloading equipment which you never see at a gun show. This is what I bought:

Redding Competition Seater Die for .223. $35. Retail for almost $100.

PACT Digital Reloading Scale (NIB with paperwork, weights and powder pan) $75. Retail for over $100.

RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Center $55. Retails for over $100

Dillon 550 Die Head $5

Wilson Case Gages 45 acp/9mm/.308 $10 each

1lb Hodgedon H335 Powder $12
