I'm looking for a Colt MT6400. Recommended dealers?

Recommended Posts

Any reason you want an MT6400 rather than one of their other offerings? Like an LE6920 or 6720?

I really like the 6920, that would be my first choice.

I was thinking the 6400 because it was legal out of the box. I was talking to someone that the dealer neutered his 6920 and while the pinning of the stock was fine, he said he was very displeased with the work done to the front. I just didn't want to hassle with issues like that.

If this isn't an issue that I should worry about, I would like to get the 6920.

Suggestions on dealers.

Thanks.

John

You don't have to have the compliance work done in NJ.

You could buy the 6920 online, and have it shipped to ADCO.

They do great work.

I had my upper assembled and muzzle brake pinned by them.

They have a sub forum on AR15.com also, if you wanted to see some of the work they do.

I've been looking for the same rifle and about now I'm pretty much probably going to purchase and have them send it to Adco.

I like the color scheme on this....

It's either this or a BCM upper and somekind of lower. I can't use the Forum price request,, it doesn't allow me too even though I'm a premier member.

The prices are a little better at Clyde's

Also at $995 this is seems to be a good choice too - http://dsgarms.com/ProductInfo/CO6920.aspx

I just ordered the LE6920. I'm glad that I had such a hard time locating a MT6400, it made me rethink what I really wanted.

I had no problem using the forum price request (thanks for the heads up Pizza Bob), I received several responses for the two guns, the other was a handgun, that I was looking for. The color scheme is pretty cool on that MP. Good luck.

Does the forum allow you to share who you received the price quotes from? I'm itching to get the LE6920 too or also itching to do buy the BCM upper and lower or possibly purchase a different name brand for the lower.

Let me know who your going with to purchase the LE6920

thanks,

John

Thanks. I purchased a bulk 1200 round order of ammo. It should be here just before the 6920 arrives. I'll be ready to hit the ground running.

Do I need to disassemble and clean the AR before I fire it the first time?

Thanks.

Oh and I still canot use the Price Quote section. I can't understand it. Using my MAC allows me to do more online than I can do with my HP, but I still can't do it the MAC

It has nothing to do with Mac/PC. Perhaps you have an old or bad browser installation? I have only Macs available to me at work and home, and have been able to do price quote many times!

Yes, you should disassemble and clean it before you fire it.

It comes from the factory covered with a preservative.
