Friend of mine is running this class, figured Id post it up here if anyone was interested. Email Nelson Morales for more info if you would like to attend. This class is opened to the public. You do not have to be an LEO to attend. Class will be held in Northern NJ.

Introduction and Overview of Executive Protection & Dignitary Protection

 

 

 

Dates: November 9 to 11, 2012

 

 

 

This introduction program is based upon proactive techniques gained from working Dignitary Protection for affluent political and social members of society, Corporate Officers, Celebrities, City Mayors, Governors, visiting Dignitaries, Senior Law Enforcement Officials, and Judiciary Witnesses.

 

 

 

This (3) day introduction to Dignitary Protection Course will focus on;

 

Overview of Protection

 

Communications,

 

Assessing threats against the Principal or the Dignitary

 

Dress & Etiquette,

 

Security Procedures,

 

Identifying Potential Threats

 

Development and Implementation of Procedures that would employ proper Crisis Management.

 

Protective Walking Formations

 

Advance Team Operations

 

Receiving Lines

 

Practical Exercises

 

Attendees must be able to stand for long periods of time while participating on this training course.

 

Course Requirements:

This introduction course will require attendees to wear plain clothes while attending (no uniforms), Slacks and button down shirts with a tie or suits are acceptable, comfortable shoes are a must.

Just a word of caution to anyone getting involved with EP work. There are very, very few opportunities out there right now. The training from a good school is very applicable in everyday life and certainly aids anyone who looking to know more about the profession. But, work is scarce and the industry is a very close knit one.
