Teky0101 6 Posted November 30, 2012 Hello Everyone, I just saw this on the local SJ news. Apparently a three rail tanks derailed and fell into the creek with vinyl chloride and two unknown chemicals which are now leaking and going into the Delaware River! The one chemical is highly flamable and ordorless..Great! Do you think that this will contaminate the local water supply? http://www.nj.com/gloucester-county/index.ssf/2012/11/train_derailment_prompts_evacu.html
NJScott 15 Posted November 30, 2012 From what they've been saying all day on 101.5, it doesn't look like it. Apparently, folks have been complaining for a couple of weeks to Conrail about strange noises coming from this bridge. It was also stated that the very same bridge had some sort of collapse several years ago. Probably a lot more to this story than we are getting right now. Keep your windows rolled up, buddy! DirtyDigz 1,812 Posted November 30, 2012 The bridge partial collapse from 2009. Hope they actually make an effective and lasting repair this time. Apparently it's a "swing bridge" that rotates so boats can pass it: http://www.paulsborofire.com/fullstory.php?91854
this_is_nascar 162 Posted November 30, 2012 So far, Underwood Memorial Hospital's ER accepted over 60-people with issues from the fumes.

Tosser 61 Posted December 1, 2012 This rail line is the busiest in the country. Luckily this wasn't a car of HF... I was there all day yesterday and it was a cluster fugg. ERG guidlines are 1/2 mile evacuation which didn't happen. Everyone in the hot zone should have been on scba. There were many responders directly exposed to this.
