mag1 0 Posted December 26, 2012 Anyone know a good place to get my rifle action blueprinted? So far I have heard good things about ga precision, but wasnt sure if any good smiths here in NJ? Thanks
BullzeyeNJ 104 Posted December 26, 2012 Locally Bob White is a helluva riflesmith. He is located at Shooters Corner in Lake Hopatchong. GA Precision is very good; their wait times can be long. Dont know what they quoted you on lead times but when I checked last year it was 10 months to make me a barreled action.

tennturk 9 Posted December 27, 2012 I'm in the same boat right now. I'm leaning towards www.ShortActionCustoms.com for my Rem 700 but I don't know what their wait times are. A local smith/machinist would be great though!

tennturk 9 Posted December 27, 2012 Why do you want your rifle blueprinted? Is it sub MOA at 100yds? From what I've researched it's only worth it if your groups are horrible or your going to rebarrel because yours is worn out. I have an AAC-SD I want blueprinted, rechambered and chopped down to 16" but it's hard to justify it when I'm .5" MOA at 100yds and still sub MOA at 300yds.
