Engraving

Recommended Posts

There was always an engraver that had a table at the Forks of the Delaware show in Allentown. Next one is April 6 & 7.

Not sure if this is the guy or not, but he is close (Easton).

The engraver answered my e-mail and declined to work on Ruger. Said it was cast. I asked about the S&W cylinder let's see what he says. Doyouthink Ruger makes a cast cylinder? Hmmm.

Ruger's guns are made from investment castings. You should be OK with the S&W as it is made from forgings.

A buddy had Gournet do his trap gun. The craftsmanship and artistry are simply astounding considering it's all done with handwork. The shotgun was months of full-time carving, and as one should expect for the rare craft - of considerable cost. However, it's now an heirloom that will pass down to his son and hopefully further.

Do show off any work you get done so we mere mortals can be in awe!
