I've always believed that if it's in spec, a lower is a lower. Most pretty much come from the same few companies, it's the cut/finishing process that is important so make sure it's up to normal specs

I have a few different lowers at certain points. As long as it is what they call mil-spec nowadays you are good to go. Finish is going to be a little different depending where they come from but they all function the same. Uppers different stories, but lowers are pretty much the same.
