Any laser engravers in North Jersey or Jersey in general?

Recommended Posts

I am an engraver, but laser won't work on stainless. It'll only work on blued or nickel. Laser engraving does not pierce the surface, it simply burns the paint off of the metal. It will only etch into softer surfaces like wood or plastic On stainless you'd want diamond tip engraving, but it's a pain in the ass.

That's vector engraving, but they're using a 120w machine. The 30w & 45w machines I have aren't powerful enough for that. What he/she is doing is taking the artwork then stiching it and using a hairline outline. It's typically used to cut not engrave.
