buell508 6 Posted June 11, 2013 Any one have one? Looking for opinions on what optics fit, work best. I bought a .40 core for a good price, now I'm thinking I may as well mount a red dot.

Soju 153 Posted June 12, 2013 If you bought a CORE then you definitely should mount a red dot! Also,
JackDaWack 2,895 Posted June 12, 2013 i doubt anyone here owns one yet, but from another thread i believe the trijicon works best for a slide mount pistol. And yeah, why else own one other then to put a red dot on it?

laabci 0 Posted June 19, 2013 The S&W website has a list of compatible sights - I believe there are 6 of them.
millsan1 3 Posted June 19, 2013 I am picking up my CORE 5" in 9MM in a couple weeks. (OGAM) Probably going to put the Trijicon on it.
High Exposure 5,680 Posted June 21, 2013 The Trijicon RMR series is the way to go. I have an RMR02 on a Glock 35 .40 with just over 1K rounds down range over the last year. I am still on the same battery and I have had no issues with holding zero or electronic failure despite the comparatively stout recoil of the .40 S&W round. If you are concerned, Trijicon has improved the internals and windage/elevation adjustment systems on the newest version of all RMR models specifically for pistol mounting. Seems Trijicon didn't think their product would be used that way and the few failures they have been having (mostly loss of zero) were a surprise. They have since made the internals more robust along with the zeroing mechanics. These new more rugged optics are shipping now.
