Anyone apply for Florida non res ccw in person?

If so, how long did it take to get?

 

I will be heading down in a couple of weeks to scout for my relocation and job search.

I'd did it at a Bass Pro in Fla. since I needed the class. No problem.

Two weeks to get ID, 10 minutes to get prints and paperwork complete. Better book appointment soon, I had a hard time finding an open appointment when I did mine, had to drive out of my way a little.

How long did it take for you to get it?

I already have NRA pistol.

 

My hopes are to do it day I get down there and have it by end of week when I return home.

Worst comes to worst I will get it when I head back down a few weeks later

I went to Delray shooting center in Delray Beach Fl to get mine. It took about a month to receive it - I took the course with my dad who is a resident, and we both got them at the same time, I don't believe Fl differentiates between res and non-res. FWIW, you may not need the course, but it included the fingerprinting and they walked you thru filling out the paperwork (which they said Fl has been known to reject for even the slightest thing), and the whole thing only took a few hours so you may be better off just taking it at the local range.

if you want an apointment at a state office I was told next aval. appt. was august this was a month ago.

There is a backlog down there. My buddy just did his and had to book 2 months ahead in the Orlando area.
