I-81 in MD and CCW

I want to take a trip down to Tennessee. I have FL and soon UT CCW. So PA WV VA and TN I am (or will be) good. But that pesky 12 miles on I-81 in MD I have to lock the gun in the trunk. Any good places to de-gun before I hit MD? Obviously not NJ wiseguys.

Perhaps a rest stop before crossing into MD. If driving on 81 beware of the tandem trailer FedEx ground trucks. They seem to employ the worst drivers they can possibly find. They do not use their mirrors and they will not hesitate to cut you off.

Thanks. I keep my distance from them and listen to the truckers on the CB channel 19 on my ham set to stay clear. I don't play games with so called professional drivers. (not a slam on all professionals, just the idiots)

Looks like you could jump off at exit 3 for rt.11 and stash it in the trunk and jump right back on 81.

Personally I think it will be easier until you wait and clear MD then stop and get it. When I traveled to TN, from my house to VA took about three hours (Christmas night no traffic).

I'm in Georgia right now and took 81 most of the way. My M&P Shield made its debut in a McDonalds lot in WV or VA, don't recall which. Hadn't left my side since. Going to be horrible to lose this freedom upon returning home...
