so i have my first ar build complete and i wanted to add a red dot. so i ordered and h-1 with larue lt660 mount and i finally got it today. i go to mount it on my ar and realize that my folding iron sights are the troy micros. completely blocked by the mount. have any of you run into this? i thought i ordered the regular size folding sights and its way too late to return them. would any other mount provide a 1/3 co-witness with the troy micros?

i guess ill give larue a call tomorrow and see what they say. i guess if i have to i can just buy the normal folding sights and save the micros for another build.

 

i guess this thread is more a warning to others as well as seeing if there is an option i havent thought of yet.

Or replace the Troy sights, or learn to flick the large mount off the gun fast.

ill probably end up getting the regular size troy sights. then just using these micros on a future build. does anyone know if any local shops have troy sights in stock?

LT 660HK should work. The TROY micros were designed to give standard height BUIS to piston height flattops like the LWRCI and HK. A HK specific height mount should work.
