Been a while since the last update, took some pics of the upper on and the rail while at home for spring break. Unfortunately, the anti rotation tabs don't fit around the thick walls of the billet upper. Open to suggestions on how to get around that. Just pulled the trigger on a barrel/bolt combo from Stutts Tactical. CS was exemplary. 

Got an ARP 16" scout profile barrel and ARP superbolt.

Back ordered parts (barrel and bolt) finally came into stock. Arrived on Thursday, parts look good. FA, dust cover, and gas tube are all I need to get her in shooting shape.

Any reason you wanted the Midwest Billet Upper? Why not a forged upper? Would've saved you the trouble of figuring out what to do with the anti-rotation tabs on the rail.

Honestly, I just liked it and the price was right.Plus if there's and easy way or a hard way, 9/10 times I'll pick the hard way.

You could always get a Spike's Upper to match your lower.

Also, 6061 is inferior to 7075.

Bought the FA and dust cover at a gun show this weekend, charging handle and muzzle break are in the mail. That's all the parts minus mags and buis. Should have a functioning rifle within a week.
