If thinking about ordering from DVOR.com, read this…...

Recommended Posts

This is a long read, but is worth it.

So I find this page from a banner on some page and I see that have some very good prices, even seemed too good. So I do a little research and find out that they are a child company of Opticsplanet, that put any doubts I had to rest. I call their customer service to confirm that the items they sell are new in box, not returns or demo/display models. They tell me everything is new in box, unless noted.

I figure at this point lets place a order. The order I placed was for a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 Riflescope, green dot cross hair model TR20-1G for $575.00. The items arrives a few days later and as soon as I took it out of the box I noticed that this has been opened, the circle shape tape used on the sides was peeled back and off the box. When I opened the box the manual had creases in it that was from being held and flipped back and opened. Needless to say my first thought was "Oh boy, here we go", sure enough I take it out of the box, look thru the glass and there is no green dot. I call Trijicon to confirm and they did, defective item. I call DVOR and explain the above to them, they no longer have the Green crosshair in stock and returns are for credit only (even defective items), but they said they will replace it with a green mil-dot (TR20-2G). I said to the guy I spoke with that OP.com has the 1G n stock and why can't I get that one, he tells me they do not pull stock from them, only from DVOR.com. Not much of a big deal so i agree to the Mil-Dot model and it was $10.00 cheaper. I fill out the Return summary making note of who I spoke with and filling out the form the way he told me too.

Today, I am looking at my credit card account and I see a new charge of $300 to DVOR. I call them up and they tell me that is the difference of the 2G from the cost of the 1G. The short of this is that they charged me the difference from the OP.com site and not the DVOR site and of course the return department people are not in today. I have to callback Monday and see what is going on.

If your thinking of dealing with DVOR.com, just be careful. The customer service is horrible and the turn around time is just as bad.

A coworker of mine also had a similar negative experience. Waited forever for a recently placed order. Finally receives what he thought was his order and it turns out to be some other customer's order. Took several emails and a few phone calls before someone in customer service finally fixed the wrong order screw up.
