tmpnj 0 Posted January 8, 2015 My wife and daughter are interested in our hobby. I want to take them to the range but before I do that I would really like get them into a beginners class like NRA first steps (which I'm happy to take again with them) then venture off to the range. There are alot of offerings out there but I really wanted some input from you guys. I am in south jersey around Camden/Gloucester county although I have no problem traveling if there's a premier trainer out there that would benefit them. Thanks in advance! tmpnj 0 Posted January 9, 2015 I thought about doing it myself and I'm sure that I could convey the rules and procedures properly but, I thought if there ever was a training requirement instituted in this crazy state we live in they would be GTG. And since they are cerebral people, I figured the classroom setting would be more comfortable for them. 44 mag/50cal....lol They'll be starting out on the 22 first..... Candyman87 10 Posted January 9, 2015 Based on the fact that you call them cerebral people and you believe that a classroom setting would be beneficial, I would recommend an NRA First Steps Pistol or NRA Basic Pistol Course, the latter of which is fairly comprehensive. Will they be doing all their shooting with you for a while? Or will they be venturing out and purchasing their own?
