mikeyjones 88 Posted February 4, 2016 So I've been looking for a quicker way to trim brass w/o dropping the coin for a full Giraud trimmer. I have a Giraud Tri Trimmer and I have a mini drill press from HF. Today I decided to mount the trimmer in my drill press and lay it on it's side. This basically creates a poor man's Giraud Power Trimmer. I was able to breeze through over 500 cases very quickly. ~$50 for the drill press + ~$100 for the trimmer is still much better than the $460 Doug charges. carl_g 568 Posted February 4, 2016 Do you have pictures of the set up? I use my drill press for reaming the primer pockets and also attach a Worlds finest trimmer while prepping 223 brass.

I'll take some next time I trim brass. Literally just lay the press on it's side so the trimmer opening is slightly above horizontal and crank it up. Worked like a charm
