JackDaWack 2,895 Posted March 5, 2016 I've found the expensive brakes put a lot of "research" into being middle performers. They are good at doing lots of things but best at none. MY battlecomp is very nice to shoot next to, and doesnt flash like all hell. My RRA brake is miserable to be next to.. I picked up a BCM gunfighter for my next build, it's similar to the battle comp. But these compensators could "compensate" better by creating more flash and blast radius.
JackDaWack 2,895 Posted March 5, 2016 I know it's about the same do go the 16 vs 14 with comp route but I save like 2 ounces and it looks more tacticool. Joe bobs has the kies comp and the gas block I need so I'm going to go with thay Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk You said super light wasn't the ultimate goal tho? If 2 ounces makes you choose one barrel over the other then i say its a goal of yours... lol

tjs3023 19 Posted March 6, 2016 I have one from BCM that I like a lot. They have a few different ones... http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-14-5-Mid-Length-LIGHT-WEIGHT-Barrel-Stripped-p/bcm-brl-s-mid-14lw%20std.htm I just did a build with one of these and recently picked up another.

mikeyjones 88 Posted March 9, 2016 Looks like we're doing similar builds. I'm starting to lean towards the faxon as well. Im curious how the 14.5 shoots vs 16. Any difference out to 100 yds? Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk

Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk I highly doubt it if you use the correct bullet. I don't know what rail you are using but I'll have my alg rail in today. 13" only weights 10oz with barrel nut Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Vlad G 345 Posted March 9, 2016 Guys, don't try to save too much money on the most important part of a rifle (barrel) and its life blood (gas system)
