Uguu 0 Posted September 13, 2016 Hello, I know that there are capacity restrictions on semi auto shotguns with detachable magazines but what about pump shotguns? My understanding is that there is no limit for pump shotgun capacity, but how does this law work when the pump shotgun has a detachable box magazine or even one of those weird detachable tube conversions? PK90 3,570 Posted September 13, 2016 As long as the mag does not fit a semi-auto, you're good to go. Sent from an undisclosed location via Tapatalk.
Uguu 0 Posted September 14, 2016 Thanks for the reply. Is there really no limit to capacity for pump shotguns? I don't think I will find any magazines that go over 10 rounds for whats currently out there but having some clarification would be nice regardless. NJGF 375 Posted September 14, 2016 This is NJ so nothing about firearms has to make sense. Pump shotguns have very limited restrictions on minimum barrel length and overall length. For example you could have a folding stock on a pump. I guess our lawmakers think that pumps are so much less lethal than semi-auto's in NJ
njJoniGuy 2,131 Posted September 14, 2016 ...I guess our lawmakers think that pumps are so much less lethal than semi-auto's in NJ And that .177 pellet pistols are just as lethal as a .454 Casull The Peter Principle at work - - politicians who rise to the level of their incompetence.
