My Mom worked at Sears on Elizabeth ave in lovely Newark NJ. In 1967 sears had a full section downstairs with shotguns rifles and shelves of ammo. 67 riots Sears was one of the first stores hit! Guns first! Then the Nat Guard armory, got a couple thousand full auto carbines! That is why they are illegal in NJ!!!. They are still out there. Show up at a buy back or at a gun shop every so often! LOL.

Stock was replaced and rifle has been refinished and it is considered unsafe to fire. Lots of information about that. CMP will not allow that to be used in firing competitions. SA after 880,000 is safe. RIA after 288,000 serial numbers. These early ones will sell for about 750-800. If it was original then up to 1200 or so.

Been collecting Garands for about 25 years, had hundreds go thru my hands. Now mostly parts and 7 or 8 M1s.

CMP forum. this is collecter grade. some of those parts are too valuable to use. I have 6 or 7 others to shoot!

I had a friend remodel the whole bathroom, I supplied all material. Same unit you have pictured. I think it cost 2500. 3 years ago. now most likely 10K with you buying all parts.

I got my setup from lowes with the door also. Happy with it. dont use their installers.

Could be the barrel, or the site. Was the barrel original? I have seen them a degree off too.

Could be angle of my pic. both front and rear are adjustable for that reason.

I always liked the VARs and LMRs. But the Criterian barrels send them to another level!!

I think that could be a problem in most middle eastern countries, and some parts of Michigan!!
