  1. No, I did not use a torque wrench. After ~100 rounds it is steady and holds zero well. But the torque wrench is a good point and noted, thank you! It can't hurt to be accurate after all this.
  2. The optic isn't big enough to prevent me from getting the same grip on the slide. I do try to avoid smudging the glass with my fingers. The main weirdness to get used to is finding the red dot.
  3. I've seen people steal shopping carts in Brooklyn so it's not surprising. I have an enormous stockpile of reusable bags from curbside pickup. The irony is that I usually forget about them and just carry groceries loose in my car... I used to also have bags full of other bags which usually went towards trash, but I've depleted that supply.
  4. I've seen a lot in my news feeds about their sales, as if to shock the public. "Oh look at how much money they're making off of murder weapons!" But the gun industry has some of the smallest margins out there. Whatever numbers they're trying to shock with are small potatoes compared to other industries. Plus 99% of these things just gather dust.
  5. Yes, ugh. Barrel shipment fell through, so waiting on replacement gun again. If it goes that way, then yes it goes through FFL with all the usual things. It's as of yet hard to tell if they fixed the slide. The only note is they "adjusted the front sight" and won't elaborate. Latest date is the 4th for a replacement gun.
  6. Thank you for sharing! That's something I would expect. My issue here is from the first few mags. Update: STILL waiting.
  7. Been thinking about this one lately. Anyone notice the complete lack of the media saturation of the killer? I STILL see the Highland Park shooter's face in headline news. MSM is an enemy of the people.
  8. I'm considering the hammerless airlite or airweight options from S&W. Eg: https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/model-340pd?sku=163062 I recently looked at a Ruger LCR. Of all the things, I hate having to depress the cylinder release to lock the cylinder back in. Otherwise, my PPK fits me well.
  9. https://www.njoag.gov/acting-ag-platkin-launches-new-office-to-enforce-new-jerseys-new-firearm-safety-legislation/ An entire office dedicated to destroying the gun industry.
  10. This gun looks really fun and interesting. My only hesitation is it's kind of pricey and .410 is harder to come by than I thought. Any thoughts? Is it worthwhile?
  11. I am so sick of this warped logic. She's honestly trying to suggest that handguns are harmless and cause trivial injuries compared to assault weapons? Trying to draw a line between legitimate guns and "weapons of war" is absolute madness and serves no other purpose than the incremental ban of all guns. By definition, all guns are lethal force. If anyone supports this in response to recent incidents, I have to ask: would those kids in Uvalde be better off if the guy spent an hour shooting kids with handguns or a "hunting rifle"? If the answer is no, then you can't simultaneously support the AWB and say you support the 2nd amendment.
  12. The whole point of concealed carry is to keep criminals guessing and avoid attention from everyone else. Open carry for the hell of it just gives more reason to ostracize gun owners.
  13. So guys, who do we write about this kind of thing? Is it the same as who we'd write about things local to NJ?
  14. Is there text on this? Is this identical to the '94 AWB or is there more? This implies it could go much further.
  15. Good thing we don't own any assault weapons! That pinned muzzle break on my AK makes all the difference!
  16. I had some big orders that didn't ship for a while and I wanted to know if I would get, that's all. I got them, so that is fine. Whenever this takes effect the retailers will decide for themselves what they want to do.
  17. Nothing changes because of me. For what it's worth, they're shipping everything all the same so I think everyone can stop worrying.
  18. What are they putting in ice cream nowadays? Alrighty, it's probably not that big of a deal if it can be considered a reasonable deviation for being hungry... wouldn't make a habit out of it.
  19. Legal or not, leaving guns in an unattended car is a bad idea.
  20. I skipped over these guys for the longest time until I realized the genius behind them:
  21. Curious... how does this apply to apartment buildings? Technically, it's a private place and you don't own the building. So you couldn't even carry in your own hallway unless the landlord hangs a sign saying otherwise?
  22. The beauty of marketing! Every month is the month to be proud to support the RKBA.
  23. I do understand that, especially now. This is my first pistol; I naively babied it since it scraped right away instead of wearing out over time. In hindsight, it's probably not worth waiting 8+ months over. I thought it would be a quick, simple fix.
  24. I called TargetSportsUSA the other day to ask. The person assured me that they will ship to NJ with valid FPID, but I'm not sure if that person was fully updated on this specifically. I sent an email to get something in writing but have not heard back.
