  1. Storm Lake makes barrels quality stainless barrels for the full size S&W M&P products. They sell a .40 to 9mm Conversion barrel for the full size M&P. If you replace your mag with a 9mm M&P mag, you will even be able to reliably shooting 9mm from your gun also. I would go with the .40 and not worry about ammo. 9mm is getting really hard to find, yet i always see .40 on the shelves. I am now looking for a .40 gun to shoot just so I dont burn through my 9mm and .45 stores. The M&P40 is a great gun. I had a 9mm and sold it because of it's size vs capacity drove me nuts... but it was a really nice shooter. Just not nicer then my CZ85. I say go for it and lets us know your thoughts. You would always be able to sell it here if you dont love it. It's just money.

    H&K P7 Hunt.

All, I am out looking for a new sidearm, and am particularly looking to find a H&K P7 in good+ condition. Has anyone seen one recently in the central to southern NJ gunstores? Anyone have one they might like to sell?
  4. so after reading this the only gun/caliber combo I could come up with not mentioned in this post is a Marlin 60 in .22lr with a synthetic stock. I better get to Dicks and get one soon.
  5. http://www.philly.com/philly/news/local ... _N_J_.html All, I really dont like this group/church at all. I believe in free speech but if you think that showing up at the funerals of soldiers KIA in Iran or Afghanistan protesting there internment as a way to voice your anit-homosexual views, you have somer serious screws loose. Now these losers are going to be in my home town of Cherry Hill to voice their anit-semitic bile at some of the local synaguoges as well as at the high school, Cherry Hill East. I graduated from CHE, my kid will go to school there soon, my friends and neighbors kids go to school there. Why protest at a school? Because kids have sexual curiosity... or god forbid hormones. Plus I get these losers to visit me later in the day at my office, directly across the street from the liberty bell in Philly!!! This is what I want to do. I want to get one of those water balloon slingshots.... and hurl balloons filled with pink water soluble paint at them. How much trouble can I really get into???????? Asshats!
  6. PO1 is a great gun.... for CCW or for relaxed IDPA shoots where it is classed poorly. It is a DA/SA with a decocker on frame. Very easy gun to shoot and use. Most comfortable "compact" 9mm I have EVER handled or shot. I had one for about 2 years and carried it extensively while living in Ga. Great size and shape although the rail/frame is a little bulky. I never had a issue with it, no failures of any kind. I liked shooting IDPA with it because it was my carry gun and that is supposed to be the object of IDPA. Very accurate and easy to shoot. You can swap out the trigger for a blade style trigger from the 75SA or 85Combats. I just got used to it and found it very usable. Trigger time and dry firing with caps smoothed out the pull significantly. Mags are available in 13rd IRC.... Sites can use some work, they are a great u notch blade with glow in dark inserts. Switch them out to a good night sight, or add a laser/light and it is a great gun. Traded it for a shotgun when I moved to NJ and miss it greatly.
  7. they look about fryer ready to me!!!!
  8. I would like to be included and can drive. I have an SUV....maybe we should bring a trailer?????
  9. "So, no good reason at all." Iterprited to mean "....Because I wanted to!" Isn't that one of the top 5 reasons to own guns! Enjoy it.
  10. Lunker I am a left also and a CZ fan and have owned an 85C and 85B, a PCR and a PO1. The problem is that I only have the 85C still. On thing I have found that irks me about CZ guns is the curved triggers... I love my 85 Combat for it's lack of recoil, intrinsic accuracy, 100% relaibility, great workmanship in a affordable gun and it's uniqueness. If I did not have the 85 I would go with the 75SA, the triggers on the 75SA are superior to all other 9mm triggers, except maybe a 1911. Why a compact though... I found that it was just as easy to CCW my 85C as it was my PCR. The slight size difference was negligible, weight was not a factor and with a good holster the 85 concealed well. I like compacts, but when accuracy counts go with the fullsize.
  11. My son is 8yo and is currently in the violence is cool stage. I had him watch it a bit to empasive the horrors and waste of war. One scene in particular, from Pealu (sp?) where the US and Japanese forces are just stacked up where they fell. My son notices and mentions that everything, sand, trees, bodies, water is red... is that all blood he wished to know. Yep. I think he got it. Good show... I hate to say this but it is a little to trite at times. Plus there are way to many commercials.
  12. sorry... I have not drunk enough liqour today to even follow that.
  13. I happen to love Oblivion, so I would like to ask some questions. Is it as wide open an RPG experience? Is there a user community up and running creating and supporting mods? Is the combat engine well done? How about the platform needed to run it, cutting edge or can it be slightly lower?
  14. In philly, I prefer DAllessandros out in Roxborough, Tony Lukes on Delaware Ave or a place in Reading Terminal Market. Not a Genos or Pats fan. The blue Cheese steak is a cheesesteak made with gorganzola cheese and fried onions. It is really good, very rich though. Sometimes when I bite into one of these bad boys I can actually feel my heart skip a beat in protest.
  15. I will try to add some South Jersey places, in and around Cherry Hill. Nice Dinner: Blackbird, Collingswood, 619 Collings Ave Great place for a real meal. Great Italian and eveything else in between. BYOB and a little $$ but worth it. Pub: Kaminski's, Cherry Hill, Brace Rd Been around 50 yrs, changed owners three years ago and lightened the place up. Food is good, big sandwiches, Great Wings. Get the fresh sliced Roast Port or Roast Beef Sandwich. Raw Bar: The Pour House, 124 Haddon Ave, Westmont, NJ Beer emporium and raw bar. Great beer... stuff that is hard to find. Oysters from around the world. Realy good food. Pizza: King of Pizza, Rt 70 in Cherry Hill Still the best for a slice in the area. Hoagie or Cheesesteaks: DiVellos, Kresson Rd in Cherry Hill, right before Haddonfield. Great sandwiches, and the cheese steaks are even better. For something nontraditional try the blue cheese steak. Vietnamese: Pho Barlcay, Barclay Shopping Center Cherry Hill Great Vietnames food, pho and wraps. Very nice people, great looking place.
  16. I live in Cherry Hill and have stopped in at Hagues often. I won't anymore. I resent their membership policies and the rule that you must buy their ammo if you are not a member. Sorry, but that is BS. I think their guns are way overpriced and apparently non negotiable as I found out when I asked about the $440 price on pre-unloved S&W 5906 trade in. Their ammo, new handgun, rifle and accessory prices are just obnoxious. Now let me tell you about the gun store commando's they hire there. I would be hard pressed to find a more uneducated, ignorant, brand biased bunch of idots in the state, and there are a bunch in NJ, ask me about stores in the Hamilton Nj area. Sorry the place sucks. If you would like I will take you Square Circle in Gibbsboro, near Voorhees. Memberships are $225 a year, outdoor handgun, rifle, archery and trap. Indoor handgun or .22 rifle. 6 acres lake with a large clubhouse. No limitations on ammo, bring your own and your own targets. Drop me a line.
  17. In regards to the FAL vs. M14 argument it came down to politics. During the early 1950s the US was undergoing rifle test to replace the aging Garands with a larger capacity semi auto battle rifle, scared as they were about screaming hordes of Russians with Ak47s. There is evidence that there was a back room agreement between Churchill and Truman that if the British accepted the .30 rifle cartridge as NATO standard (soon to become 7.62) then the U.S. would accept the FN FAL as NATO standard and issue it to all US Troops. Problem was the U.S. insisted on and continued with their own rifle tests. The FAL went up against the redesigned T25 now the T47, and an M1 Garand variant, the T44. Eventually, the T44 won out, becoming the M14. However, in the meantime, most other NATO countries were evaluating and selecting the FAL. FAL was not US made, although it was licensed to be made here by FN and probably would have worn a Browing name, it came down to Springfield is a US company. The T44 design lost almost all tests, minuscle amount, to the FAL design, but not by enough to justify choosing a foreign companies design.

    S&W model 10-5

did you get it? I love my Model 10. They are soft shooting, reliable and very packable. An overlooked and underapprecaited firearms.
  19. VEPRs kick ass in reliability, accuracy and handling. Good friend had one in Ga and it was one of the best rifles I have ever.... ever shot. It NEVER failed... ever. I was pinpoint accurate to 200yd, the farthest I ever shot it. Cheap to feed at the time and easy to shoot. The Bentley of AK variants. My WASR wants to be a VEPR when it grows up!!! Good buy Mak.
  20. just get a GSG5... I am lefty and it works great for a lefty. I would also recomend the Browning Buckmark Carbine.
  21. Some people swear by their Rem 700s... I was very happy with my FN PBR XP.... 20" is .308 perfect... integral 20MOA rail, great trigger. Action was a little stiff at first then smoothed out. It is built on the Win model 70 action, one of the worlds best ever designed. You can get them for about $700 from CDNN.
  22. Just shut down my plans to open a store. Nice to know my state legislatewhores listen when you call.
  23. how come you offer up the older marlins to Max and nobody else? Cmon Trout... hook up a brother. Ok I am not a brother, but I do need a hookup.
  24. Some people swear by them... others at them. YMMV. I dont like them because of their size. I highly recomend the 597... picked mine up for $170. I helluva nice gun, very accurate, full size, good manual of arms, really nice sights standard. Get the standard then add a scope... do not spring for the scoped model, scope sux and it does not come with sights. I bought mine took it home and polished the guide rails with oil and fine steel wool until they were really slippery. I have put 600 rds through it with one... one FTE. The accuracy is on par with the 10/22 hbar i sold recently. I really like this gun and there are some additional tricks you can throw on it to really up the accuracy. Great bargain.
